ideas like
lower the cast time 1 second on heals to compemsate
change up the skill Heal so it has a purpose
make wisdom do something so u can increase your heals thru mods as well as gear. so you can find your own balance to healing power.
increase the damage of the few atks that you do have.
make hots stronger or % based hots.
im sure there 100 other things they can do to make make priest stronger without changing the GCD.
u know its coming. all other classes had changes make in ch4 to where they had to relearn there class.
warden completely new, druids got a change to NP, agro went crazy making tanks regear, scouts have entire new rotations, old scouts QQ n rolled r/s had to learn how to play that class, mages been changed to new roations/buffs only to get nerfed again..... lol didnt u expect some major changes to happen?
or u can sit here n QQ n compain
Did I expect major changes? Yes.
But did I expect them to be all nerfs? No.
And yet that's all we have gotten. Nerf after nerf after nerf, while other classes get improved, aside from knights. If they had honestly changed some priest skills to reflect the GCD changes, fine, okay, I don't think many priests would be pissed. But Heal is still useless. Regenerate is
even more useless. All our set skills are still useless. Group Heal is now a 4 second skill, without cast time buffs, and Urgent Heal is 2 seconds. These are our two heals, right there, and they got nerfed. They didn't increase the power of these heals to compensate for the somewhat lengthy gaps in between heals. They left them as they are, and slapped cooldowns on the end of them. All we got is nerfed.
We've been suggesting changes to the priest class for over a year. The only positive fix we ever had was to GH. Everything else got ignored, and you want us to sit here and suggest the same things we have said in threads every few months now?
No, if they wanted to compensate for the total mockery they've made of priests with this patch, they would have. They didn't. Instead, they left the class gimped with
yet another nerf.
Saying "well they should do this, so you see, you really have no reason to QQ" is pretty illogical when there has been no implication of priests ever getting the balance we have needed for a very long time--why should we expect it now, when they released the nerf of all nerfs and did nothing to help soften the blow? And furthermore, saying we just need to learn a new rotation, when useless skills are still useless and we still only have two
actually good heals...what kind of rotation are you wishing we'd learn, here? Don't compare us with scouts or mages or wardens or anyone else. As of chapter 4, previous to this patch: Mages got improved. Wardens got improved. Scouts have many buffed skills to fall back on, even if the class itself was taken down a little too far in power. Druids got improved. Warriors got improved. Rogues got improved (which wasn't necessary, really). What have priests gotten? Nerfed.
When scouts got nerfed due to being a one-button class, they had other skills buffed. They have MANY viable skills now to use, and a well-geared scout can keep up quite easily with other classes. Priests got a GH nerf--sure, okay, it was somewhat needed. But where are the fixes for other skills? Where are the buffs to skills that no one has used in several years due to them being completely obsolete with current content? We didn't get any. Imagine how many more players would have quit if RW had done nothing to buff useless scout skills (i.e. VA, Snipe), and just outright nerfed them. Sound fair? Don't think so.
This nerf will probably be the last straw for a lot of priests, and not because we want to take the "easy" road (because believe me, it's very challenging for us to use the multitude of nonexistent useful heals you seem to think we have), but because we have been nerfed nonstop without a single buff. Even the mediocre set skills (Frost Scar, Altar of Shadoj) got nerfed, after being fixed. There comes a time when enough is enough.
Call it QQ, but we have good reason for it, and don't presume to know how to play a class you obviously have never tried.
