As of ch 4, nature crystal has been revamped and is now a buff pet, and does not help you attack. If you want a pet that does it, use the Spirit of the Oak, and later levels you get your third pet Oak Walker, which also helps attack.

I believe that the Nature Crystal has a simple melee-based attack, similar to what Chiron must have - which would explain why he always rushes headlong into battle despite being a ranged fighter.

No, nature crystal has no more ranged or skill attacks, but it does still have the regular melee whitestrike (which is pointless to use).

Actually, crystal does not even have white strikes either. You can see this if you send it to attack a foe... it will chase it wherever it goes, but will never actually do damage.

No, it cannot attack. It is intended to help you by being your support instead of you being its support. I wouldn't advise you to use it early on.

It used to be great in some instances to have a Nature Crystal. In example, the Wd/M's nature Crystal had two attack spells. One was the normal attack, the other one was an AoE attack that when coupled with mage gear on your warden, actually did some nice damage. I wish Wd/D had that AoE pet attack elite. :\

Yes, I know NC can't attack anymore. I used to use the nuke on it in chapter 4 along with frantic briar when it was magic based. It was some fun.

However, I noticed something extremely amusing. If I tell my NC to attack something, it casts Dispel Curse on the mob if it is a friendly mob, which is highly amusing.
