Knight/Rogue

I have a knight rogue, and wondering if i should use a dagger so i can get the bleed effect from shadowstab or stay with higher damage swords.

Firstly, knight's can't use daggers. Secondly, no, you will not have enough PATK to make the bleed do any difference whatsoever to your DPS.

We lack the DPS skills. Our hardest hitting skill doesn't even go past 200? or 250? With the new "buff". Don't worry. I'm GCHM and can't solo hos lol

Soitenly! Are you unfamiliar with the number of complaint threads having to do with Knights having no DPS?

I will try to remember adding /sarcasm on and /sarcasm off tags in the future.

Yeah...sure....Give Wardens Shields and make knight a secondary class only. Add the Pdef of a shield to wardens and knights are done. Shields, Recons and Hatreds are all that is keeping knights in the game right now. Warden/W already got my plate armor, might as well finish knights off and give them a shield too.:p

Lol, I'd say the wardens have already finished us knights off. Without a shield they buff their P.Def higher than us and their aggro production puts us all to shame. :/

Lol about the caps lock! Anyways... The only skill I believe should be uncapped is Enhanced Armor. The Warden's P.Def and HP buff is uncapped so it would only be fair for Knights to have the same. If they would bring back Holy Strike's Aggro from what it was before patch 4.0.5 that would be great. Reducing it from x5 to x2.5 was extremely stupid. x15 isn't really necessary. I would love to have a passive Knight primary skill that would increase Hate by 20% though. It would put us closer to the amount of aggro that Wdn/W generates.

the old x5 multiplicator would be enough.

as for pdef, we all should remember that wardens cannot wear shields, and a Talisman is not a viable option because they only have more damage on 2H weapons.

Just take a Annelia right hand + Shield master + Enhanced Armor combined , thats a lot of pdef even without 6x139,2 Stamina on the item Warden buffs have to compensate for because they cannot wear a shield.

Right. Dropping down to a 1H weapon would cut down a lot of aggro (due to lesser damage aggro) even though you would be more survivable. Still, with the type of gearing that's going on, I wouldn't be surprised to see someone pull off a 1h Axe + Talisman Wd/W combo that could still hold aggro and be even more survivable with the off hand stats.

I fully support Knights getting a passive ability that would add +% Aggro generation to all damage skills. Having a knight in group (in my opinion) should guarantee lockdown in aggro and taunt for that knight. DPS guarantee DPS, healers guarantee heals, so tanks should be able to guarantee tanking.

If a rogue or any other class with Knight secondary were to stat for PvE DPS it doesn't matter how much more %PDef they get, they wont be able to tank much. If they do sacrifice PAtt for some PDef then their DPS will be considerably lower. And sure they may be able to pop Evasion and probably take 1 hit when tanking a boss if they use Egg Rice, but they won't be able to tank the trash mobs. They have no AoE aggroing skills like K/x or Wdn/W. It isn't reliable. You can't tank a boss if you can't get through the trash.
