As a P/S you are kind of limited to Rising Tide and Ice Blade for damage. That should be more than sufficient for the job.

That is if you have a good enough weapon and mattk.

If you are struggling short of getting better gear I would recommend looking into food, some of it can be very cheap and very effective.

higher matt = higher dmg from iceblade personally i start with rising tide and while casting it i spam the iceblade button seems to work for me i have 18k matt so i hit mobs in new zone for 20k with ib

Put TP into Embrace the water Spirit, Ice Blade and Rising Tide.
Tier up a Root of nightmares to Tier 8, and add some mage stats to your gear to increase your base matk & intel.

You will be cruising after that.

Root of Nighmares can be bought quite cheap for a T9, so you might want to look for that. Also use Mdmg food instead of Matk food for better results to heals and damage.

Using "Root of nightmares" is worse idea. That is a Mage staff..at lvl 55 you should be using "Demon Magetism Staff"...at lvl 60 Shadoj wand w/ Book of Judgement or Dorians Sheild. at lvl 65..Clown wand at lvl 67 Skeletal Staff or Fantasy Staff.

But it all depends on what your role as a priest is..Dps should use Mage Staffs, but if your a Pure healer..use the stuff above.

Shadowlaw/turboreaper666 is right, at level 60, you'd be better equipped with a Root of Nightmares (if you're on a budget of a reasonable size) because it has more Mdamage and gives more Matk than any healer staff at level 60 or lower. If you have a large amount of gold and can afford the Shadoj Wand and Book of Judgement, that will be better for healing but not necessary for questing. Mage stats on Healer gear is what you'll probably want to use if you're aiming for doing some damage. Int, Matk, and Stam are what you want to stat onto your Healer gear for those times when you need to heal.

get your secondary to 50 so you can take the 50/50 elites which will bump up the damage of rising tide and ice blade. and make sure your crit damage/rate is high if you plan on spamming ice blade.

Yes, get your secondary to 50 first (damage goes up from there), and use a mage staff. I personally am all healing (1 int stat per piece of gear) and a mage staff. I can solo origin and all trash of all instances (tosh included) on easy mode and do 5% damage to tosh normal mobs per iceblade.

ooo yes food food food, if your not using it, ur lacking good percent of damage you could pull

not gonna lie, that's pretty fantastic. i should get you to harp on this one chap i know that says: you can't do things as a healer if you put int stats on stuff. you have to be all defense and hp and stam and.... god yes, get some int, matt, and a dang staff. get to 62 and get the best of both worlds, and get a savage staff. heal and matt. heck, 65, get a nice AoK, it only heals a bit less than savage, and hits like a truck.

DPS with a wand doesn't work unless you are M/R, and have high tiered ghost wand + dagger. big old staff will turn your damage around right off the bat, and more int/matt will make you feel all warm and fuzzy when you start 2 shotting things.

Send me his name and let him run with me lmao. I can kill DoD first boss in under 30 seconds on my own. And his veiw of priests is messed. 'S annoying that every other class can colo but the healing ones. >.>

Shadowlaw, shut up lol. I do that in my priest gear, not my mage gear you noob. Besides, I don't like to waste my speed pots for it; sooooooo not worth it for DoD.

^ or 1 shotting, i just got a p/s to 60/40 and dumped tp into IB, rising tide, and water spirit and stated half heals half mage and my IB crites for 57k and rising tide is 100k+ on same lv mobs with a t7 +12 rakshas staff

I play M/p most of the time for questing, P/s primarily in instances, so I'm geared int/ma/stam on mage gear. I need more HP, but when I fight another P/s in siege, they normally come back with the santa pot, or surrounded by rogues to take me out.

Throw some wisdom on for Mdef and to improve the mana pool, IB eats mana.

Ooh, yes, thank you refugee, I forgot to mention that. 2-3 wisdom stats per piece of gear will due you just fine for mana and mdef. You don't have to be like me and stack 11k wisdom (besides, it stops giving even miniscule healing bonuses at 8k). I just love the mana pool it gives me, so I can spam UH, GH, IB, and RT if needed, along with my curing shot. Makes for a lovely resource.

u dont have to break the bank and buy the highest dps bow in the game for your priest cz ull only really use shot when u get bored and feel like using it, but its 6 free stats. grab a striker cat, od ofc, but u dont even need that, u could stat a white vendor bow. i jsut like to see all purps on my toons .

clean tier one with crim and glorious stats from shell vendor, heros and bunkers. stack matk. dont use stats with mp/mdef/pdef. well its up to you really, but ur suffering from lack of dps in a class combo that hits hard and fast so i can safely assume you went wrong somewhere.

root of nightmares is the best choice for your level as previous poster suggested, but my p/s is 63/59 atm, he is an alt and in gear im ashamed of cz most of my money gears my other toons, and he uses a savage staff t9 +16 and crits for 60k in siege versus similar levels. he can solo dod first boss and hos first boss on normal mode and pve trash is no issue.

if youre not a primary healer for your guild runs, invest in some prestatted hand-me-down mage gear like elemental flame set ( dmg bonus ) , and mix with the mage mini set from WA. u can mix and match and if youre clever u can even fit in the mother tree embrace (chest) with the mothers rope (belt) ( both from origin and its a 2 piece heal bonus set.) and end up with heal and matk and mdmg bonuses from your gear.

also, dun know what jewels youre wearing, but for budget minded ppl who want a big punch, invest in a magic vahtos set. u could probably find all 5 pieces od in ah for under 10-12m investment. use wipers and stat them nicely. ull get a 15% magic power bonus for the set. you will lose all the candy that higher level sets give you, but the next best mpower bonus set gives 10% and it will very likely cost many times that of a vahtos set. i share a vahtos between 2 of my alts and its the best investment i made. i still wipe and restat them when new stats are added to the game. no one ever tells me, pfft u cant come cz u wear vahtos. and if they did id direct them to scrutinizer results

and as a bit of sunshine and a goal to have, my warden gets 1 hit by ice blades in siege on the regular. many of the best geared ppl in my guild get faceslapped by p/s as well. i love it that a priest can go matk and contribute so well.

Well, ya, you guys aren't doing siege anymore in Valk, but in an alt guild with low numbers. You were playing a guild that is trying to work there way up in ranks. In other words you were using a shadow guild.
