tosh hard seems to change the equation...everyone's dmg appears to be cut in half. not sure exactly but the warrior's tactical or w/e was hitting for 400k or sumshin and in gch little over 800k. my flame crits went from 510k-ish in gch to 275k or so in tosh.

i play with mdmg vs ma food tonight hopefully...lacking data since ive been without internet, again ><, but i imagine im below the mdef of the bosses by quite a fair margin so probably wont amount to much.

you actually better compare to the beginning of sardo. GCH was made for level65 as the cap was in the closed beta, yet chapter4 started right away with Level67. Sardo was made for Level67 so you had boss level 70 , like now with 70 boss level 73+

Ofc it depends on boss pdef and sardo bosses also have generally lower hp due to 6man instance, but its about how it works in general :)

try to hit a boss in GCH with some lvl65 ... :D

derp, yeppers...good point.

think tosh is ~190-200k pdef/mdef for bosses. tried different foods/ma levels from 135k up to ~235k-ish with a nub sigil. didnt see the jump in dmg until right at 200k or so.

but a r/s swapped to s/r in there somewhere to be a sapping monkey..so hell idk. i got confused and ran into walls.

the gain in dmg from puppet to shackles staff is smexy! 8404 to 10071ish base for t11 +16 and gave way more dmg increase on individual skills than i thought it would.

30% i think?

How does crit work for mages in rom, I notice I crit alot less when eating 600 crit pot (jumping from 4k4 to 5k) Should I just use arcane potion then - I'm M/R btw, and would replace ifur (318) crit for juggler (1k5 matk) be wise? I'm sitting at 80k matk 10100 mdm (t10 ghostly t10 tia) with mdmg food and we run gch tosh nor mostly.

You missed the sarcasm in his post. You might have not followed some claims made by a mage with healer memento staff, who stacks dex on gear, and run ToSH PUGs, and outdps everyone else.

if you can get 10k mdmg but it will gimp your matt you should go for it, because you can get matt from every gear piece, but you can only get mdmg from limited gear pieces

weapon
upper body
necklace
set bonus

etz


more mdmg will help you when running lower instances where your matt>their mdef
