what has happened to all the druid guides?

they are all deleted, or what? why?

They're all gone due to their "forum maintenance." They also won't restore them, as it is too much trouble on their half, and they ask us to simply submit the guides again. Which is also just as foolish as deleting them in the first place, since many of the ones who wrote the guides (that are very much still relevant skill-wise) have moved on to better games.

I've debated on whether or not submitting my own guide, but I have no doubt in my mind that there are better, more capable druids out there. We shall see.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but in relation to the initial topic:

There also used to be thousands of tips and advice for quests classified by zones... Granted, some of them were old, but it was still a mountain of very very useful information for lowbies like me.
Are they gone too, or is it just me not being able to find them back in the new forum?

Gone as well with their forum maintenance.

Hiya, A lot of the guides were from several years ago and a lot of the information was out of date. We are going to try to encourage the community to create new up-to-date guides, The details are not ironed out as of yet, but it is very likely you will see some contests that will get our beloved guides back in an up-to-date form.

I really encourage FEU to take care of their customer wishes and brings a copy of old forum back for view/search of old guides, or why don't you guys create new up to date guides if you are thinking that all information on old ones was outdated?!

This move was just plain WRONG and your message can be read as this: 'You can invest more work, and later we might find it outdated and delete again?!'

I agree that player based guides should only be tips, instead of relying on the player to keep his activity and keep updating information as things change.

General class guides should be given on Frogster end, not ours. But this sudden disappearance of absolutely no guides (even outdated information) is a problem.

Considering the mistakes from the get-go you've made, your level and actual experience, I can see why.

Actually, its because you lack experience with your own class. You dot have history to refer back to, scrutinizer (however much I hate it) in a rotation on an actual challenging boss. fight to show you which skills are the most versatile. If its you vs. the world...don't you think the world has a point, if there's nothing to gain?

Us end gamers don't have a club. Although there is a community built upon those who run with each other, and have been in guilds together. Why? Not because we're elitist. Its because we like playing with knowledgeable people who know what the hell they're talking about/doing.

Simple fact is, you don't have the credibility to make a guide that people would trust as a reputable source. From the beginning it already has mistakes, people already have to correct you on something that is sopposed to be a reference.

As for the fist comment, I don't take threats lightly, I don't care what the hell you do "in the south" but the rest of civilized America has moved past being brutes since we first evolved into the beings we are today. Its sad that people have to resort to fists because they can't intelligently state their own arguments. You'd lose
anyways kid. If criticism ruffles your feathers so much online, good luck in real life.

Back on topic (sorry guys): Ill start working on tips for druid healing thread, have some.of Reni's best druids have a look at it, then submit it here if they see it fit for the forums.

Yes the fist comment was childish and uncalled for, and i apoligize. But i dont take disrespect lightly either. Since i grew up in a Military orented family disrespect is not tolerated, and it has been drilled into me to not accept disrespect, and to deal with it immeaditly after it has happened. Plus my father being a former Marine, roughneck/redneck it somtimes is also his perfered choice of dispute settling (although its werid he dont mind me playing this game). So as they say like father, like son. Again i want to say how sorry i am for that threat.

P.S. While im sorry about the fist comment in my earlier post. I am not taking back the beginning as that post does hold true for some players i have met.

Last night while questing on alt none of google searches returned anything other then 'can't find page'. After that I opted for guild webpage as source and solution for quests)

I too grew up in a military family that's dates back to WWII. Respect is not a right, its earned. I dont know about you, but you can ask your father if he would take any advice from anyone in a lower rank than he is/was, and treat it as credible. Same situation here.

I will begin working on the druid healing tip thread and should be done within a week if real life allows.

For anyone on Reni there are two great druids who are willing to help any up and coming players. Raves is one and Nekei (<3) is the other. They are great resources. Be sure to hit them up as much as possible.;)

Raves, I am gonna punch you in the face when you log on tonight. BE READY!!

A lot of guides, even if written a year ago, were still very, very useful for certain classes--take the P/W guides from Battlemonk, for instance. The basics still apply, and it was a brilliant guide for newbie P/Ws choosing to take on a combo that's harder to gear and/or fight with than other combos. A few threads (one being a guide) on DPS priests, posted by turboreaper666, were the only such threads that existed for priests that don't want to be locked into the build-like-a-tank role, written by a veteran player who's very experienced in gearing up priests to be able to DPS -and- heal. There were also extensive druid guides (Remilafo's in particular) that were written by players that no longer play, but everything in them still applied to current RoM--yet because they no longer play, they can't re-submit their guides for those who have been missing them.

It's really careless to just up and delete all of those guides when some are actually still useful and fully viable, even six months to a year after they're written. And not only that, but you left no info on the forums at all. Every useful thread we've ever had is gone. This was a really stupid move on Frogster's part.

@ MPHick - It's not about "elitism." A player that hasn't even so much as hit 55 can't write a guide on their class. You just can't. You don't know what stats do to a combo unless you've experienced it yourself, nor can you tell if some skills are useless or not without having 55+ stats to buffer them, which makes a drastic difference for some. As you gain more patk/matk, more pdam/mdam, get better gear, classes change. Skills that you might have used frequently at low levels are no longer useful if they don't scale well or just are generally useless at high levels--something you wouldn't know at 48. If you haven't truly been in burn mode during a boss (with 55+ stats), you have no right to be writing about a combo you haven't yet actually experienced. So when someone says you're clueless and shouldn't be writing a guide...it's not elitism. It's the truth.

Would it be against the rules if I went to the google cached version, copied and reported the guides? (obviously giving credit to original authors although many of them might not care anymore)

I hiked the whole damn day, so sore >:( maybe tomorrow haha

I've started on the guide, it'll be a simple reference-type guide, nowhere near what Xerise had, but will.hopefully be helpful to new/up and coming druids.
