second class help please?

Hi , im new to runes of magic and I have a mage, can anyone please help me with which secondary class to choose? I like magic but i also want to be able to have access to stealth, speed and maybe some melle or ranged so i was thinking mage/rogue or mage/scout, please keep in mind that im new. I'm also keeping an open mind to all other classes like mage/druid or mage/priest because i heard its good to have a support class as a secondary class. So which secondary classes are best to have with a mage that is stealthy/fast but also works good with a mage? Thanks guys

i play mage/scout and its a fairly good dps class. I've heard that mage/rogue is very interesting (never played myself). However if your doing mage/rogue just to have a stealth ability (as you mentioned) your not going to get it. I think (someone correct me if im wrong) that only rogue primary gets stealth.

mage/priest is probably one of the more common choice for mages as it gives much more survivability, and is probably the better choice for a new player.

imo its really difficult to go wrong with any secondary as a mage primary, as your primary is going to blow most things out of the water as you level.

Mage/rogue doesn't offer any stealth. Rogue/Mage does, but it also isn't very useful in PvE. I would stay away from r/m and try m/s. You get to have three classes total, and you can switch between different 2-class combos that way OP, so you could pick mage, priest and scout, and then play m/p sometimes and m/s sometimes, as well as p/s and p/m.

M/P is arguably the easiest class combo in the game to level. I think m/p is the best choice for you to level your mage with, and then you can pick up scout as soon as you hit 20 on your mage. Then level you priest on p/s, which is the easiest priest combo to level. Level the scout in Xaviera, play it as s/m and use your mage gears and just fireball stuff. If you choose m/p/s, you only need to get the scout to level 50, cause it will always just be a second class for both priest and mage.

M/P/S is pretty darned easy to gear and level, cause unless you want to play your scout (and why bother?) you can just use one set of gear on all classes.

M/P is good at endgame, M/S is good at endgame, P/S is superb at PvP. Win win win.

As a mage, you are already ranged. M/S has nifty ranged fire arrows too. You won't get stealth or melee from m/p/s, but it's pretty darned versatile, and no mage really wants to melee, and no mage will ever have stealth anyway.

Murphy has it.

I feel S/m has an edge on damage output, but I find S/p has better survivability.
I've also found that there really isn't a whole lot of difference in leveling a P/s or P/m, they can both do respectable damage and have great survivability. Until you get ice blade at 40, the P/m is ahead.

I personally found the s/m side to be absolutely terrible. Its much lower damage than m/s, without all that much more survivability imo. I play m/s/r, so when i want to lvl to scout i usually do it as s/r.
