question about r/w slash

i was wondering how r/w would do with only lvl 50 slash. would that hinder my dps by too much or is slash a small part of the r/w dps output?

I'm not sure if using Slash as a R/W would be useful. If it was a main part of your dps, I would advise you to keep it maxed or as close as possible. Skill level not only effects damage of the skill but also accuracy of the skill.

level 50 would be fine. i used slash at the beginning of my r/w rotation sometimes just for the bleed

I play r/w with really no intention of playing w/r so I have basically all of the warrior general skills up as high as I can get them because running out of energy sucks if you have no rage attacks to fall back on. Also as you increase slash's lvl I believe it increases the bleed dmg which is great on gates which is a primary role of r/w.

Where did you find this information? I have never seen this before.

I had thought that it is your weapon skills that determines how often you miss, and your accuracy vs. your target's dodge that counts for how often you are dodged. I don't see where Skill level comes into it.

I'm pretty sure that if you leave skills at lower levels, they miss more. It's much like a character having a level difference, the lower level will be resisted and dodged at a higher rate by the higher level regardless of their dodge/resist numbers. I've had mobs outright dodge lower level physical skills and then levelled them up a bit and gotten much better hit rate. I could be wrong, but that's what I've observed. I'll test it again today.

Well thanks for the info.

Though I would have to say that my personal experience doesn't support such a concept. For example, I have a few skills that I haven't levelled high (such as Surprise Attack which is still at level 20 for Shout) and I have never noticed that it misses a lot. There are other skills that most people only use for the debuff or whatever effect that should also shed light on this theory.

Please note I am not saying you're wrong, just cause I have have not noticed it, doesn't mean that it doesn't happen. Details aren't my strong point :D

For example, i dont remember my blind stab ( lvl 0) missing more often than other skills in NJF ( on a k/r toon... Not in sig).
