Is R/W feasibly better than R/S

disclaimer :I'm from indigo server so just be aware that its dying and progressing through content very slowly

In game currently one of the best daggers you can get is the point of turmoil assuming you don't want to have to join one of the two power guilds since they don't sell out of guild unless you trade your soul and first born. However you can get a lanaik's str, beheading axe, or performance hand axe at a reasonable price in gold/goods. Point being its easier to get weapons for a r/w than r/s. Also its much easier to stat a r/w because you have str/dex/stam to pull from and you really don't loose out because of the warrior general str buff.
When I put combat master vs axe to the test with the available point vs lanaik's str the axe came out on top by a good 15-20% dps. My advice then to the casual player is to roll a r/w because its cheaper and easier to gear and better for your money.

Not to mention the best Elite skill in the game (In my opinion) Combat Master. It makes a big difference because it ups your Crit damage by 60%. That's a huge buff.

I did the testing with combat master at lvl 50 on and I have about a 70% crit rate also did the test using energy thief and these are the the results.
as for a stat bow its not going to give you a 15-20% boost in dmg sure it will help bit but I don't see it making up that gap

What are you testing on ToSH or DoD? Most r/w's I know go dagger main and then axe off-hand there reason being that they miss less supposedly. You also left out the part where you are a glass cannon with full burn phase going on. R/W IMHO isnt better than R/S due to elites and nothing in this game is "cheap" and saving a few million is meh now a days. You want to get geared for cheap play a Priest/Druid people always need em and there are so few left.

Combat Master is OP, but not AS GOOD AS PEOPLE BELIEVE.

60% extra crit damage, considering natural crit 130%, plus two rings 55.6% each, gives about 301% crit damage (that is.. when it crits, it's 3x damage of non crit),
Without 60% from combat master, it is 241%, so 2.4x damage of non crit.

300/240= 1,24875621890547263681592039801 -> about 25% improvement.

Now, Berserk gives 36% patt in exchange for -36% pdef. since berserk lasts 30 secs, and has 60 secs cd, it's as if it was a permanent +18% patt.
In later instances, your patt will always be much below bosses' pdef, so +18% patt translates to +18% dps.

So berserk gives 18% extra dps, while combat master gives +25%.

---

Now consider that Assassin's rage (rogues' 5m skill) besides raising crit chance, it also increases crit damage, the % improvement from combat master is less than 25%.
Moreover, most boss fights last very short, so in essence, you could say that berserk actually increases your dps by 36%, because by the end of berserk, the boss is dead already.

---

What really makes r/s IMBA is energy thief. not combat master.

I play with 2 axes yes you will miss a little more but I found an accuracy rune not to mention all the accuracy from dex covers it since axes do about twice as much dmg as daggers. As for being a glass cannon rogues in general aren't supposed to do much tanking but my primary defense is dodge not pdef and that isn't effected by berserk

First of all... It's impossible you do twice the damage with axes compared to daggers. If they are equivalent weapons ( tier, plus, ini). Dps wise not much diff and some difference in ghost stats.
Secondly misses depend on weapon proficiency. Accuracy only helps against dodges and enemies are never doing to dodge a rogue.

People don't fully understand how DPS for each secondary class.

As someone stated in this thread already, the only reason why R/S are strong during burst is because of Energy Thief, once it is over. RogueScout's do VERY LITTLE damage.

Knight, Warrior, Warden secondary (I don't think I missed any) can get VERY close to a R/S in a fight that doesn't involve a 15-second burn.

Each secondary class has a purpose.

If you think R/S is bad sustained dps, your wrong. A R/S can use strong stim, after that use Frenzy potion, then after that use Fervent attack. So that is up to over a minute of Speed increases. Also dont forget that you can use Blood arrow after your burn and use a Xbow for filling between normal rogue rotation (Shot almost always crits). With Blind Spot, Low blow, Wound attack all your dps skills are over 550% dps...with WA being 1600%+.

Never said that r/s was better sustained dps than r/w because they probably arent, but compared to most classes they are above average.
