Your theory is incorrect. Or something. Besides your 2 DPS figures ~ 17% difference. According to the damage calculator DPS damage is done by DPS times modifier times attack speed. Atho the near 493 difference in DPS. DPS never changes or is modified except to what that is on the weapon only if you use a buff food is DPS modified. Raid VI does not seem to have an effect on DPS nor do wrath runes. So your figures of 2783 vs 3354 are incorrect. Running the numbers into this DPS formula with a HS of 462%
32892.5 = Letin
34286.8 = Jugglar is winner by 4%
Jugglar still wins per strike. b/c of having 300 damage over Letin's
Advantage only Letin is 2.4 attack speed so every 18th hit or so (.6 differnce divided by 3) you hit 32892.5 more than Jugglar.
Say I figure this in 617162.4 for jugglar at 18 hits vs 624957.5 at 19 hits = 1.2% damage difference
Answer is Letin is great if u need pattack.

Recap 3092.2 DPS is needed to match the jugglar or a phys damage of 7421.21 which the Letin does not have. Time for ya to T11

EDIT: Ok i just realized this. Unless your melee damage in the character screen is yellow DPS damage is unchanged. Meaning Wrath, armor damage, shield damage, etc. does not effect DPS. DPS is taken directly from the weapon if this number is held in white.
TY and have a nice day

Do you even know who extrapolated the various damage formulas?
Wrath, damage ghost on gear, raid, food, all affect weapon dps. Because you don't see it on the weapon tooltip doesn't mean the dps is not affected. o.O

Btw... Beware of who you tell to t11. ;-)

melee hits depend on DPS, the raw damage of the weapon does not factor in anymore since Chapter IV, thats only for ranged attacks.

formula since CH4 for melee attacks is:
DPS*(2.75 + 2*Skill%)

DPS=Damage/Speed
Skill%= 4.62 (462% HS)

so without anything else, no +damage ghosts, no raid rune, no nothing:

T10+16 HD Juggler: 7446.2 Damage @ 3 Speed
T10+16 HD Letin: 7149.4 Damage @ 2.4 Speed

7446.2/3 *(2.75+2*4.62) => 7446.2/3 * 11.99 => 29759.9793
7149.4/2.4 *(2.75+2*4.62) => 7149.4/2.4 *11.99 => 35717.21083

...
35717.21083/29759.9793 => 1.2001759.... => 1.20 => Letins Protection is 20% better w/o any buffs.

i have +645 damage from ghost stats on my equipment so i'll take that as example:
(7446.2+645)/3 instead of 7446.2/3 ...you can figure the rest out.

Letin reaches 38939,5233
Juggler reaches 32337.8293

=> 1.204147....

damage ghost stats favor the faster weapon.
raid6 just raises both values by 6% absolute, but the difference remains the same.

I'm on pretty exactly 35000 patk (35074 for full detail), so leaving me with ~32700 instead of 35000 costs me ~7% patk. As Knights in content that matters (instances on the current level) never overcome the pdef of bosses thats another ~7% damage for me. so we're talking about ~27% damage difference and still have not thrown in *any* food (where the fixed parts matter, like in damage or patk food with x+12% or y+15%) ... you still willing to keep the Juggler sword and in the same way telling every other endgame knight who switched he/shes just a dumbass?

@Galenwaithien: yeah, he picked exactly the right one with andreas to fight about numbers.... XD

That awkward moment when you realize that you are trying to argue about how to use the damage formula correctly with the person who discovered it ^^

Just wanted to say this...Yoman did the rest already basicly :D

I'd like to belive your numbers and formula. However I do get 34286.8 on my Jugglar and therefores stick to my formula. Maybe on the EU servers it is different. we obviously came up with the same number 1.204147 but HS is per hit. And attack speed figures twice. All u get with Letin is an extra hit in every 18 hits compared to Jugglar. So unless u have a T10 +16 Letin "reaching" 38939.5233 I believe my formula. Perhaps yours is on "white hits" leading to Letin being stronger but that is only every 2.4 seconds. When u press Holy strike. Letin does not compare to Jugglar. I will not be spending 120mil for an UD Letin and 3 T10s to test this. TY and have a good day

EDIT: again your math is off 29759.9793 / 35717.21083 = .833211177704 or 16.7% not 20%

So what IS your formula? you just mentioned the final result, not your formula...

Off i went to test my theory on a 2.3 second attack speed sword (SOF)
My formula is near to correct. Therefore Letin shys in comparison to Jugglar.

Wrong. If you hit for 100, and I hit 120, I hit 120/100 - 1= 20% stronger, not 1-100/120=16.66% stronger.

I've come to the conclusion we are both right. My numbers are factors in Crits (I've failed to mention) In fact I plan to crit each time i hit. Your numbers are correct when it is a non critical hit. This is why I hate this. Its complicated and I view your formula to be what is wrong with this game. I call your formula the lower damage range. I prefer to stay with a Higer damage range. SO as your formula applies to non critical hits u would see your proposed 38k or 16.7% increase. But you will crit lower most likely because of your lower phis damage. So if you enjoy crits stick with Jugglar else Letins is ok. But either is no Unrivaled sword.

Of course the formula is based off non crit hits. You find the formula for a regular hit, then you apply crit damage. Lower P.dmg gives you less damage when you crit? How does that make any sense at all? Crit dmg is calculated from your regular hit. If you hit higher normally, you hit higher critically. Fucking common sense.

Comeon man, this is RoM. a regular hit does not translate into just adding crit damage. look at screenshot
21210 times 110% (46662) isn't even close to 55k

Your screenshot just proved me right rather than you right. 110% crit I'm assuming is from your accessories. Then you include the base 30% crit damage without any added crit damage. Thats 140% crit damage. 21210*140%+21210 = 50904. That is incredibly close to your second Vampire Arrow.

Cause it is not 110% only, but a base crit got 30% more than normal hit -> (1+0,3+0,552+0,552)*21210 = 50989...if you had pet out (10% crit dmg more) 53110
