D/Wd Briar Shield after changes.

I saw the changes to the Warden's Briar Shield and wondered if the D/Wd's elite which allows you to cast Briar Shield on someone stacks with the Warden's Briar Shield when they are on their main Warden side?

If not, is a D/Wd able to cast Briar Shield on a Knight and still get the upgraded Warden bonus?

shouldnt be hard to find out, just find a warden and ask them to put their briar on and u cast urs on them as D/wd but i think it will most likely overwrite

Yes, Knights and Champions get the upgraded Warden bonus which makes no sense since there's no way that Warden Primaries can compete defensively with that. (It doesn't stack with pre-existing briar buffs)

There was a topic about that right after the patch happened

Yeah I went in (re-downloaded client) and tested it. Apparently it stacks with other primary type buffs such as enhanced armor. Kinda nifty for M/Ks, makes them even tankier. Lol.

In the end, I guess that's one good reason to make a D/Wd alt on another account. Just get that briar shield up and cast it on your main before/during siege or instance run.

*sigh* And that makes them P/Ks even more of a headache in siege lol.

At one point it did, then a ninja nerf stopped it.

I had a warden with briar, and three D/Wd's with their briar on him and they all stacked. I was foaming at the mouth for an idea to have a Wd/W with multiple (maybe 10) of those stacked ^_^. Though I think that was Chap 3, early Chap 4ish.

These days, not even the D/Wd and Wd/X briars stack :(

Yet... you can freaking stack D/Wd briar shield with Knight's Enhanced Armor, and other class pdef buffs I hear. Crazy stupid.

The QQ should be about the useless mana return on it instead of the good buff (which doesnt even compensate for the crappy healing elite skills)

Ahem, it was nerfed because it was overpowered and people were abusing it. I'm not sure where you think they should stack at all, none of the skills that are buffed, w/p magic barrier for example does not stack with normal magic barrier, so the stacking in the brief period was an oversight.

As i discovered last night, You can have a d/wn cast enhanced briar shiled on a person, they can zone into an instance, and then the d/wn can cast it again on someone else and neither skill dissapears. =( This, and it stacks with /k enhanced armor, so we had p/k's and our tank all with super high pdef. And I only got the one from being r/wn =( i felt left out.

actually i DONT think they should stack, and i dont think it should stack with enhanced armor.

I feel Wd/W's Briar should stack with D/Wd's Briar. Since the changes, it would just be in good taste. Sure, no making them stack infinitely, but at least one D/Wd briar should stack with it.

Hell, I think the D/Wd's briar shield should be a group buff that doesn't stack with others like Enhanced Armor. It would make it a nicer addition to a party where there are more fragile classes.

I do understand the oversight, just stating it was fun while it lasted.
