Hey guys, I'm torn between R/S and R/W, I love quick classes that deal good damage but I am unsure of what class to choose, Im not a big fan of projectiles or bows, but R/S seems to be the best class for PVE DPS. And yet R/W seems to be popular too as a close range fighter. Can someone help shed some light in the situation???? I would really appreciate it![]()

go Rogue/Warden![]()
Go Rogue/Warden ^-^ It's a fun combo and you rarely see any out there *that i've seen on Reni* Never went r/s before but I heard that it's boring and is easy enough to play in your sleep... r/wd on the other hand is not that easy yet easy still. Brair shield is very helpful when I'm doing my malatina's too

If you use axes, you lose out on a whopping 70% damage bonus when wielding daggers. Sure, you may be able to cause bleeds but bleeds only have a good effect in PvP where you need to take down a fleeing or stronger foe who is unable to heal. Bleeds aren't very effective in PvE unless you're stacking them for the bonus damage with Wound Attack.
R/W Does get a Axe mastery as an elite skill which is also 70% more damage, that being said most still use dagger because of the higher DPS.
Also, the Warrior general skills don't compliment the rogue side very well. Berserk lowers your already abysmal Pdef and using this in conjunction with Fervent Attack will mean instant death if you're hit by an AOE. Opposingly, defense formation will bolster your Pdef at the large cost of your already limited patk. Sure slash is a good secondary option when your energy runs dry but if you went with Rogue/Scout your elites would help you maintain that excellent burst DPS that your your main combo skills give you for far longer.
I've Gotta disagree with you on this one. In boss fights as long as you're not tanking, the pdef difference isn't going to kill you that quickly, and the patk that it gives definitly makes up for it. ( I seem to be able to survive most endgame instances while using both ). You can't forget whirlwhind which gives 400% dps when maxed to all targets in range! (maybe more with the lvl 70 elite, haven't gotten it yet). And you can't forget the strength passive, which helps those str/patk stats that most rogues seem to be using now in their build.
As a rogue/scout you will obtain a far higher critical hit rate and critical hit damage with the ever-so-powerful Combat Master elite, a 1-hit immune, increased critical hit rate for your ranged attacks, a increased dexterity passive, the ability to hit 2 targets at once with your shadowstab, and a passive that makes your main PvP skill (Low Blow) more energy efficient and more powerful against already weakened targets.
All great plusses to r/s, but r/w also gets a skill which does 320% dps and gives 10% more patk and has a 10second cooldown *and uses 10 rage*. So if you play your rotation right thats 10% more patk the whole boss fight. For r/w elite's they also get a skill called poisonous infection which gets about the same dps % as lb when maxed and uses rage. They also get decay which does about the same dps as SS and gives about 16% crit damage for 12 seconds which is nice during a burn.
