Reflecting Shot Equation

At some point a while back I found the reflecting shot damage equation. I figured I'd just post it in some random thread when it came up in discussion like I usually do, but I haven't been playing or reading the forums lately, so for anyone who is interested, here it is. I ended up seeing a 40% AOE reduction to the PDmg portion of the skill but no reduction to the DPS%. In other words the max damage equation is:

0.6*2.75*PDmg + 2*DPS*Skill_Percent

and of course like always, it is modified by the normal suspects like PAtk/PDef and crit modifiers.

Not really anything special except that it looks like the AOE reduction is huge when unbuffed, but when fully buffed (speed buffs cause the DPS portion of the damage to outweigh the PDmg portion) the AOE reduction isn't terrible.

Who knows if the elites change the equation though. All I can say is that this is what I was able to pull out shortly after Chapter 5 was released.

i did a test with the s/w elite that increases the reflect shots damage to mobs with health below 30%. no values given in skill. It increased the first hit from 40k to 100k. The usefulness of this skill to me still remains the same though. in the grand scheme of things its not worthy of being called "elite".

Agree.

After a lot of testing, I got much less impressive numbers than what you're suggesting. I think maybe your 40k was a non-crit and your 100k was a crit.

At best it appears to be a 5-6% increase on damage dealt from reflective shot for the s/w 60/60 elite when the target is below 30% health. Meaning, your target is more or less dead already by this point, and 5% more damage does jack-diddly-squat.
