Hey i play as a Wr/wd but my question could address as well other warriors.
I am putting on the table the possibility to use 1-h axe + the crafted shield that has crt on it instead of the 2-h axe for more dmg. Although we clearly loose dps the qeustion is if the extra 700-800 crt is enough to compensate in end game instances where crt hit rate is low.
Ill compare the stats of the top versions of gear that we have atm with 1-h and 2-h w mastery taken into account for weapon %dps:
Global destruction +16 t10:
DMG 26016.12 || Speed 3.8 || DPS 6846.35
PATT 8055
Original sin +16 t10:
DMG 16990.23 || Speed 2.8 || DPS 6067.94
PATT 4027 || CRT 426
True Dragon's Great Shield (legendary) +16 t7:
DEF 23710 || Stam 651
CRT 346
So we loose in dps is around 13% but we gain 770 crt, around 35k pdef (Briar taken into account), 4k more hp and we loose no patt if we stat full patt the shield (but fully: buffed hero, str passive and other buffs like set skill we get more patt overall).
For crt i have this table:
CRT table
Lets say the 2-h warrior has 4200 crt. This means 69.64% chance to hit a crt.
With the bonus of 770 crt, the crt hit rate increases to 74.35% meaning a 6% increase crt chance. But this is versus normal mobs. If we take into consideration that bosses have a flat negative crt chance modifier (so i have been told) the % can grow from 6% to 10% (maths: (75-x)/(69-x) > 75/69).
So on paper, almost the same overall dmg (5-6% max loss) but more pdef, patt and hp. I agree that on lower instances like grafu or rt plat/diamond where the crt chance is way higher (extra crt has less impact) the loss in dps higher.
How do u see this ?
