How Does Healing Bonus Work??

So I've started making a druid, just got to lvl 55 and I'm trying to figure out how the healing bonus is calculated. Doesn't seem like its based on the HPI (Healing Power Increase) from the weapon or setbonus. For example:

Wand of the Holy Sky (101 dura):
1173.6 Mdamage
+876 HPI

= 586 Healing Bonus

The healing bonus number is not anywhere close to being a number from any of my gear. Also when I take the weapon off, it goes to zero so its obviously based entirely on the weapon.

Can't see any effect on the healing bonus when I add or subtract some with the set bonus I have. Was messing around with Charplan a bit too and it shows the HPI as a direct add to the healing bonus, so either charplan is wrong (very likely) or theres a bug somewhere.

So, my question is. How is the Healing Bonus calculated (guessing this has been discussed before, so a link to existing thread would be great)? and if the HPI has no affect on it is there any place I can find my total HPI?

Thanks

The healing bonus listed on your character window is ~half of your staff's mdam, iirc. Healing Power Increase Points aren't listed in character stats, though they're incorporated into healing formulas.

1173.6/2= 586.8

The healing formula is explained pretty well on that thread.

To put it simply though, Burst heals like a priest's urgent heal or the start of a druid's Recover are based on .5 of your Mdam, .3 of your wisdom, plus HPI and the amount on the tooltip. All of that multiplied by any buffs to increase received heals, and all but HPI multiplied by buffs to increase outgoing heals, and that's how much it will heal.

HoTs work pretty much the same way, except it's all of your Mdam, not just half, and that total value is divided by the number of times it ticks. The amount of the tooltip is added to that value after it's divided, not before.
