D/R Secondary?

Ok so I was a little bored with R/Wd and questing at times, so I made an alt and it was an elf that was a druid. Since I like rogue I just made the secondary a rogue, I didn't pick out my third class so I was wondering what should the third class be? Of course I'm not going to switch over to the rogue side for sw or anything since my main is already a rogue/warden... So any suggestions?

messed up on the title, suppose to be third class..

RoseallorSa - Scout to have D/S?

Only other real option that comes to mind is Warden, as that combo is nice Wd/D or D/Wd.

well, you could go warrior...r/w is a ton of fun if played right, and d/w is supposed to be a great healer(never played it, but i have a friend who does)

if you don't want a rogue main combo, i'd go with mage, as both m/d and m/r are fun and interesting combos to play
my r/p can outdps r/m. your name is stupid.

mages should stack dex. word.

Oh. I had to re-read your post a few times to understand.

I wouldn't recommend d/r for anything other than siege killing pvp, and even then, dps d/wd will outshine, and any other druid is better for the healing aspect both in pve and pvp.

If you're set on keeping your druid main, I'd suggest any of the healing druids, d/w, d/wd, d/s, even d/m if you ever want to play mage. :P Not that d/r is that bad, but it needs the support and understanding of a good group and at the same time won't come close to the healing capacities of the other druids, and in siege dps it just lacks the firepower other dps classes have, and still lacks in the healing.

If you're not set on keeping druid main, you can easily try w/r, s/r, m/d

I'll try a few of the combos listed above with druid as the main for the combo, thanks for the opinions above and even if d/r is bad I would still play it btw tsundae :P Just look at my r/wd I've been told countless times that it's a useless combo and that I should just go r/w or r/s if i reroll but I would never do that, it's fun to be a r/wd and so far it is fun to play a d/r :D but like I said i'll try the combos above :) still open to more opinions even after I try those above, I'll try any combo until I find the one I like ^-^

R/Wds are viable for DPS, though...D/R is neither viable for healing nor DPS, and it's supposed to be the "DPS" druid. D/M or D/Wd will both outshine it when it comes to raw damage output, although the party buff is nice.

Honestly, if the D/R damage elites actually were worthwhile, I'd get rid of my mage side and take up D/R for questing in a heartbeat. I think it looks like a fun combo...it just can't hold up to what it's supposed to be.

R/Wd is arguably the highest dps rogue and probably only second to w/m overall...

Id say R/M gives them a run for their money. Yeah, their elites are bugged. But in no way are they not viable.

Once they fix r/m...I expect flavor of the month r/m running around by the dozen. You heard it here first.

Nah. All those W/M that rerolled flavor of the month are only good because they only have to hit one button. R/M actually has to have a rotation correct?

d/r was pretty good in siege on gates (until that was changed) at the same time, even a bad rogue was always like 10x better.

d/r lacks in healing majorly, cannot solo heal most instances (I've been endgame d/r up to grafu hard 1-2 and Sardo before I quit). My d/r when TRYING to dps and not heal probably did half what an equally geared mage did back then. This isn't even in groups that burned. Not that I know what the mage state is now, but just a guess, d/r will still not compete anywhere close to the dps classes.

The main reason I kept my d/r is because I was a heavy siege frontliner, and d/r was *slightly* more useful to kill things than d/s which is that character's third class. I also have a d/wd and I find it performing equally as well as the d/r in many cases, with the additional boost of some healing skills. I find d/wd equally as fun in siege as I do the d/r, but I can easily say the d/wd outperforms. I also have a low d/m I never used in siege, but guess it is probably close to d/wd in killpower due to fireball.

In terms of healing pve, d/r was not a lot of fun. It was an interesting challenge for sure, but I found myself wishing I had just a little extra, anything to top off, because a good d/r solo healing might only barely succeed. It became necessary to always have another healer, and in a lot of cases, that healer is good enough to solo heal, then there is no need for the d/r.

Since ALL the other druids have some extra healing bonus, it makes d/r little better than d/nothing in terms of healing, and by elites it is pretty obvious it is supposed to be a magic dps class, it just... doesn't work that way right now (or will ever probably).

Also r/wd is one of the strongest rogues.

Edit addition:
I loved d/r. But I also took from it the idea that it was not going to be as good/useful as other combos in any aspect. Since I was mainly a siege player, that didn't bother me as much. This may come down to one of those good on paper combos, but doesn't fly in game. It can be good support, but in this game, it is pretty rare the slot is given to a support when it could've been filled by a full healer or full dps. You need a good group/guild that is fine with your choice and fully understands what the combo is capable of so that they can't be disappointed when the d/r fails to live up to either heal or dps standards.

-_-

It's because we were all mages, and mages are damned good at one button. Besides, aren't all combos one button with DiYCE anyway?

Come to think of it, I think warmage actually has like three buttons- but, hey, DiYCE :D

We're talking about non-fail rogues. ;)

If u spam low blow outside of energy thief, youre probably fail in comparison to someone who knows their rotation, energy management, etc.

I was D/S/R once. Once.

W/M is a true 1 button combo. 2-3 buttons? maybe. But how often? That 2nd button every 10 seconds and that 3rd button does negligible damage. W/M white hit procs need to be scaled back 20-30%, if not more.

lol, was kidding...i have played multiple rogues...and the SS-LB-WA rotation isn't even the only one that should be used...if you are any good, you'd be pulling even more skills from elites and secondaries to supplement your dps

and raves, ur stealing my combo...

I'm still wondering how the 60 elite skill for D/R actually works in their DPS. It enables Earth Arrow to deal equal amounts of Earth and Dark damage. The dark damage would end up being less than the earth component but it should allow you to get a double crit on 1 attack. I'd like to see how it really ends up effecting their damage.

I had started another thread about D/r and wasteland here http://forum.us.runesofmagic.com/showthread.php?t=78851

The youtube video I found showed the D/r soloing HoS and dealing 280k-300k earth damage and then 280k-300k dark damage per earth arrow. It was pretty awesome to see.
