W/M questions

I just recently got back to the game and I have a few questions regarding this FOTM class (:

- I've heard the main source of dmg is from the white attack (empowered by es 60). In that case, would attack speed improve dps by a lot? (raid, stim, etc).
- I believe W/M mostly does magical dmg. If so, is accuracy important? My mage doesnt stack accuracy at all so I dont know if switching to warrior would cause me to miss my attacks.
- What is the best talisma? I've done some research and most people prefer the wings of dragonking over the blue lv 76 (sta matk). Is the fire dmg bonus that important? Does it work like Aoth or vahtos?

Thanks!

1. Yes, the main source of a W/M's damage is it's white hits. It was always a powerful but an unused combo. With the Lvl 60 elite, it made it even stronger. And yes, because a Raid rune, Strong Stimulant, and Lute increases Physical Attack speed, you will get more white hits in.

2. Yes, W/M does magical damage. Accuracy isn't that important. Don't worry about it, stat like a mage. Go buy a lvl 1 weapon and afk and hit stuff to level your staff/wand weapon level.

3. I would go with Annelia's Toy, because it has the most M.Dmg IIRC. However, if I were a W/M, I would use wand/talisman for trash clearing only, and a 2-H staff for boss fights. Recon IX + GCH Warrior set skill + Tranq powder is -70% aggro. If you're running with a K/P, you get Holy Protection which is another -25%, putting you at the -90% aggro cap. Or if you're running with a Wdn/W, Feral Leader gives you another -50% aggro for 30 seconds, putting you at the -90% as well. A Wdn/S and Ch/R tank should be able to hold your aggro with ease without you being -90%. If you're running with any other tank combo, give them a few seconds to control aggro before attacking.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately my server hasnt killed annelia or cleared GCH just yet due to low population. I dont recall any Recon or Shield sales recently so I might just have to use wand and tal. In that case, whywings of dragonking over the blue lv 76 (sta matk)?

What skill should we use, lava weapon or electric attack?

Well yes, the % Fire Magic Power works like Vahtos. So basically you get an extra 8.4% Lava Attack damage when it's at T6 +16. The reason why they choose Wing of the Dragonking over the blue lvl 76 talisman with Sta/M.Att as ghost stats is because in a boss fight when you stack 3 Electrical Rage, you get +61.2% M.Att at all time at lvl 77. So M.Att is no issue for a W/M.

The Lvl 60 elite uses both at the same time.

When you have the 60 elite, use "Lightning Burn Weapon", this combines both Lava Weapon and Electric attack into 1 buff (so 1 white hit = both a lava weapon and electric attack proc, this is the reason why W/Ms have become even more OP since the elite. They had hard hitting, sustained damage before, they basically doubled the damage output with 1 elite).

If you don't have the 60 elite, I'd stick to Electric Attack. IIRC it gives you an accuracy buff? Not too sure since I havent read it in awhile. If you use the dragonwing talisman, use Lava weapon.

Even without the 60/60 elite, if you had Dragonwing tali I would still be using Electric attack or w/e its called. Lava Weapon is too inconstant in its damage output.

They're still better with the 60, and still going to be close to the top if not the top dps.

tbh 25% should consider them lucky that they didnt get nerfed more idk lol, always seems when one class combo is THAT much more powerful than others, they nerf it to oblivion, i.e. scouts.

but like above comments 25% less, and they will still be up at the top of the scruts no problem with it.

Just means any good r/wd or w/wd will beat it now but meh, still better than mage >.>

W/M is still the easiest class to play and be good dps. you can still white attack and beat 99% of the playerbase unless they're a really great R/wd, R/M, W/wd or Wdn/s or such.

Why I have a feeling when you say R/M you mean mostly racerx, as he is only one I know that plays that class now, and way OP compared to rest of us?

If I had more rogue gear I would try it, but mage gear is not that good with that combo *unlike W/M*.

I've got 60 elite "Lightning Burn Weapon" already, is it necessary to level up both skills Lava Weapon and Electric attack to max ?

If you want to maximise your dps, then yes.

I just switched from m/w to w/m after getting my warrior high enough for all my mage gear, but still a little short of 80. I have been maxing Brute strength, Lava Weapon and Electric attack, that is it, with other points left I have been putting into, 55 in thunder sword, 55 in lightning touch and the rest into Electric rage. I only am maxing Brute strength for the mage side, if I ever feel like playing it, not for the w/m. I leveled up my wand skill to max, and my staff skill is decently high. However, after seeing the slow swing speed of my staff I quickly T10ed a magic hook and got a talisman which is all read to go when I hit 80. That way I can keep my staff ready for if I play m/w.

I would be maxing skills Electrical Attack - Electrical Rage - Lava Weapon - Lightning's Touch - Thunder Sword - Brute Strength in that order.

-Electrical Attack is your biggest damage skill
-Electrical Rage is you're bread and butter for w/m, without it you're dps is less than average (still better than a mage though xD)
-Lava Weapon, more damage once you get your 60/60.
-Lightning's Touch should be spam'ed 7-8 times between re-buffing ER (after you have got 3 stacks at the start of course), this adds a considerable amount of damage to your total.
-Thunder Sword shouldn't be used during fights as cast's interrupt white hits, but it is still a great skill for trash, pvp and those boss skills that you really should be moving away from.
-Brute Strength does gives a nice buff to HP, but it's not worth the amount of TP to max it unless you have spare.

I agree, only reason I do the brute strength is cause I don't completely give up on my m/w :P It is one of the few things that are from the warrior that helps carrying over.
