tanking as wd/s

So, i searched a bit about it, but didn't find any up to date topic. was wondering, i'm a r/wd/s, and thinking about gearing my warden as tank. was wondering, using 2 hatreds on the wep and bow, would i be able to tank kbn hm 1st? what would be needed for it, stat wise, about pdef, hp and pa? asking some tanks, they said with 300k pdef and 200k hp should be enough, but patt would probably be very different for wd/s. has anyone tanked as it, not being way too OP? thanks.

to answer your questions:

yes

whatever stats gets you to 300k pdef and 200k hp, which you already answered.

Patt is not different for a wd/s tank, only for a wd/s dps due to secret agreement boost to chiron.

yes. I am not too OP and I have tanked the kbnhm 1st boss for duration of the 2 hits that are absorbed by the hoto buff.

I think that he wanted to ask how much patt is required of a wd/s to tank successfully compared to say wd/w, given that wd/s has fewer aggro skills.

Farmertom will tell you that if you use dps gear and stat sta/def x 4 and sta/hp x 2 you'll have plenty of survivability and aggro.

He tanked almost everything iso yeah, you can tank kbnhm 1st

Yeah you will have to spend some money and make some tank statted chain but the second hatred should balance out the fact that you don't have aggro skills. It also won't hurt to throw a Stam/Patk or two into your gear every once in a while, but honestly you shouldn't need it with chain.

no need to stat any pa if your using chain gear with pa as green stats, the roughly 2k ish you get from each piece is more than enough pa to tank with like Gal says all my tank gear is 4 sta/def 2 sta hp, not statting any pa whatsoever and im still getting 85k pa ofc with pa food but still respectable. Wardens deal so much raw damage, they dont need a pooop ton of pa tbh.
The only thing i havent tanked in this game is 7th boss kbnh, due to we got some new tanks, and to anyone thta knows me, knows i really dont like tanking, i just do it to keep runs going, or start ones when a tank aint around, nice to be able to do two different jobs at any given time

, but id much rather dps on my w/wrd tho.

tyvm guys for the replies, i wanted to make sure if it'd be possible, asking ppl in game, didn't get good answers like yours, we don't have many wd/s tanks around. Wouldn't be cool statting a set for tanking, and then not be able to do so =|, but now i'll, thanks again

yea i get bored with one combo after a bit, like changing it up, so w/wd dps wd/w tank or wd/s tank depends on mood

froggy def gets their fair share of dough from me >< not sure why i do it either lol idk......

So you've played a bit with wd/w? How does it fair against wd/s now that you've tried both?

tbh i DONT like wd/w compared to wd/s tanking. lol already sold the plate gear scrapped the project everything lol i do a ton more aggro on wd/s. Its like impossible to find any plate gear with pa and or crit, where as right now i lent some of my gear to a fellow guildie atm, but its very easy to tank kbnh with only 500k pdef is you got the hp

and its a lot more fun when you got 110k+ pa while doin it, and makin some lazy dps mad when you outdps them

all in all my opinion still stands wd/s better tank than wd/w, just an opinion tho.

All because wd/w can wear plate doesn't mean they have to lol. Our wd/s went wd/w to tank and now he does way more damage than he used to. And I can use my staff without one of my many reunions with the floor

Who taught you how to do experiments? You can't judge what is better in a controlled experiment when you don't use the same variables. Not only does Wdn/W out aggro Wdn/S easily, it also out dps's it easily if you use the same exact gear and the same amount of TP in skills.

You liking Wdn/S over Wdn/W is an opinion. You stating Wdn/S out aggro and out dps's Wdn/W is false information. It is not mathematically possible for an equally geared Wdn/S to outdps/outaggro a Wdn/W assuming they know how to play both classes. There are formulas out there to prove this. Nobody is butthurt about anything.

well from what ive done using plate gear and like 4 sta pa etc tryin to get the pa my wd/s had, i wasnt swapping gear for gear i was tryin to gear a wd/w with plate like a true tank imo. its not a controlled experiment by any means, ill always be a noob

i just was respondin back to the question of how i liked wd/w over wd/s from galen is all.
wasnt bein facetious either, just seemed like you was tweakin out on me for my opinion and i was like whoa whoa whoa here lol
sorry bout that.
i havent tried wd/w with my chain gear tbh i just wanted to see differences from a plate geared "true tank" wd/w over my chain pa statted wd/s. In that situation do you agree? idfk.
maybe its cuz i miss my bow on wd/w lol idk what it is i just enjoy wd/s.
