Wl/r and Wl/ch resistance?

Ok so i play wl/ch/r on Indigo a pvp server, and i resist on rogues, scouts, wardens, and occasionally on champions, knights, and warriors. I only resist on these classes with Shadowstab (as wl/r), Electrocution, and Energy Influx Strikes. My guess is that since the classes have the elite skills that make the melee skills now magic it still reads it as melee when i cast it but does magic damage, so it's as if it's dodging or in this cases resisting on the classes. I have no problem with resistance in instances though, but, I'm a red pker on indigo.... so yeah this bothers me alot when i miss on rogues cause it's hard enough to kill rogues with only 2 aoes that both have cooldowns :p . So yeah has anyone else noticed this? Has it been happening in Siege with people? Arena? if you have the time i'd like to see the responses. Thanks ^^ .

Any warlocks out there :p ? Or if anyone thinks they know a solution i could try out, I tested with a +6% accuracy rune on a rogue with evasion i resisted 15 times in a row, so i'll try a accuracy X unless anyone has better suggestions.

I'm not actually a warlock, but from what I know about resistances, its the magical version of dodge, and would depend on your Magical Accuracy and Enemy Magical Resistance.

How much Magical Accuracy do you have? With 2k Magical Accuracy, I do, very occasionally, get resisted by a Physical DPS/tank class.

Although, it could also be bugged (like half the mechanics warlocks have).

I have 2036 accuracy in my gear i do open world pvp with which is also the gear i tested on the rogue so idk i think the higher dodge rate the more resistance they have i'm not sure also on a r/p with the 16% more dodge rate buff they get i resisted 13/15 times. But i mean i wouldn't think enemy as a rogue would have very high magical resistance lol certainly not enough to resist 15 times in a row or resist 13/15 times.

Hey I think your problem might be your staff/weapon lvl. Go hit some eggs in tb overnight and crank that up.

Sorry to bring this thread back, ZOMBIE THREAD But I have new information that addresses this issue. After much testing it seems any warlock skill that has been changed from physical damage to magical damage is bugged in this "resist" aspect. The Warlock/R side has been reported however the problem is bigger than that. Wl/Champ has 2 champ skills "Electrocution" and " Energy Influx Strike" that used to be physical but now are dark damage magical.

THE PROBLEM: Even though the damage has been changed to magical the "dodge" "resist" calculation is still based off of Physical resistance. So a rogue will most likely resist (they are really dodging) these elites (which sucks).

These skills should all be adjusted to work just like any other spell. In the mean time I recommend you avoid using these skills in Siege or arena on physical classes

My Test: - Geared rogues dodge/resist 70% of the time
Geared Wardens dodge/resist 45% of the time
Geared Mages/Priests dodge/resist 1% of the time.

on the plus side, at least warlocks have a way to take out healers easier...

M/S shot also have same problem which makes it impossible to hit rogues in sw & pvp.

Actually, there's a bigger problem in all this than the idea that physical resistances apply to these converted attacks. I have a wl/ch/m, and on my wl/ch my electrocution and energy influx strikes are not only resisted like a spell would be, but are also dodged and parried like any physical attack would be, along with the annoyance of misses because of low staff skill. In short, these skills not only have all the weaknesses of the old base attack type (physical), but they also have the weaknesses of the new attack type (magical). The only thing I haven't tested is if physical immunes will stop the damage, though I know magical immunes do.

Interestingly for at least the 2 wl/ch skill; are able to be used even with the debuff "silence" on, because they are still considered "physical skills" in RoM.
