K/P revamped

Hi Knights of ROM.

I have recently started playing K/P and all the talk of knights killing slowly is alot of bull. There is no builds or rotations out as of yet, so i am going to post some of my experiences.

By the time of posting this thread I am K(50)/P(41) but this have worked for me:

PS. You might want to save the advance reset stone for later on when you actually going to tank, but for levelling:

Skills to max:

1) [Holy Strike]:

  • PLV = 1: Deals 65% main hand weapon Physical Light Damage per second, and adds one layer of Holy Seal effect. Each skill level adds to aggro. Holy Seal: Causes 2 Physical Damage every 2 seconds for 10 seconds. It can be stacked up to 4 times.
  • PLV = 80: Deals 429% main hand weapon Physical Light Damage per second, and adds one layer of Holy Seal effect. Each skill level adds to aggro. Holy Seal: Causes 82 Physical Damage every 2 seconds for 10 seconds. It can be stacked up to 4 times.

2) [Punishment]:

  • PLV = 1: If the target has the Holy Seal effect, According to the amount of the effect stacks, the Holy Seal will deal extra 30 to 120 + current Stamina x 0.1 to 0.4 Physical Light Damage. Every Holy Seal stack adds 30 + current Stamina x 0.1 Light damage. It can be stacked up to 4 times.
  • PLV = 80: If the target has the Holy Seal effect, According to the amount of the effect stacks, the Holy Seal will deal extra 750 to 1300 + current Stamina x 0.18 to 0.72 Physical Light Damage. Every Holy Seal stack adds 750 + current Stamina x 0.18 Light damage. It can be stacked up to 4 times.

3) [Threaten]:

  • PLV = 1: Deals 30 + current stamina x 0.1 Physical Light Damage and increases aggro by 21% for 8 seconds.
    · If the target has the Holy Seal effect, it will deal 5 to 20 Physical Light Damage and reduce the target's Physical Attack Power and Magical Attack Power by 1 to 4 for 8 seconds. Each Holy Seal adds 5 Light damage and reduces the target's physical and magical attack power by 1. It can be stacked up to 4 times. The maximum level of this skill is 50.
  • PLV = 50: Deals 330 + current stamina x 0.6 Physical Light Damage and increases aggro by 136.5% for 8 seconds. If the target has the Holy Seal effect, it will deal 55 to 220 Physical Light Damage and reduce the target's Physical Attack Power and Magical Attack Power by 13.5 to 54 for 8 seconds. Each Holy Seal adds 55 Light damage and reduces the target's physical and magical attack power by 13.5. It can be stacked up to 4 times. The maximum level of this skill is 50.

4) [Devotion] :

  • · PLV = 1: Increases maximum MP by (current max MP + 30) * (1.0%) + 30, the healing you receive by 1% and Light damage dealt by you, by 1%.
    · PLV = 80:Increases maximum MP by (current max MP + 1230) * (8.2%) + 1230, the healing you receive by 20.2% and Light damage dealt by you, by 20.2%.

5) [Holy Smite] :

  • PLV = 1:
    · Deals 50% main hand weapon Physical Light Damage each second. If the target has the Holy Seal effect, it will be all consumed to heal the caster and a nearby party member, restoring an amount of HP between 2% and 8% maximum HP, according to the amount of the Holy Seal.
    · Each Holy Seal restores 2% maximum HP.
    · It can be stacked up to 4 times.
  • PLV = 80:
    · Deals 850% main hand weapon Physical Light Damage each second. If the target has the Holy Seal effect, it will be all consumed to heal the caster and a nearby party member, restoring an amount of HP between 6.8% and 27.2% maximum HP, according to the amount of the Holy Seal.
    · Each Holy Seal restores 6.8% maximum HP.
    · It can be stacked up to 4 times.

6) [Concentration Practice] :

  • PLV = 1:
    · Increases Physical and Magical Attack Accuracies by 2%, as well as Critical Physical and Magical Hit Rates by 30.
    · (The maximum level of this skill is 50.)
  • PLV = 50:
    · Increases Physical and Magical Attack Accuracies by 10%, as well as Critical Physical and Magical Hit Rates by 300.
    · (The maximum level of this skill is 50.)

7) [Enhanced Armor]:

  • Increases Physical Defense by 5.0% for 300.0 seconds. +1.15% per level. The maximum level of this skill is 50.

8) [Resilience]:

  • Increases Stamina by (current Stamina + 11/0) x 1.0% + 11.0. +1.0 and +.1% per level

9) [Defense Technique ]:

  • Increases parry rate by 25.0. +3.4 per level

Try to keep these skills as close as possible to max.

I found that these skills is are all that is needed while leveling, at least to level 50. Lets face it no one wants a low level knight to tank so shield skills sre pretty useless while levelling. Best go for 2H swords or hammers, and tier them if possible. The most important stats for these skills are stam, the more stam the more damage and the more hp, def, regen etc.

  • My rotation:

1) Charge (30 sec cd), which adds 2 holy seals.

2) Punishment (8 sec cd), normaly thats the end of the mob.

if not:

3) Holy seal (8 sec cd), puts 4 holly seals on target

4) Threat, if mob is still alive then holy smite.

5) Remember holy strike when other skills are on cd.

This is the way i played so far, I will try and update as I progress and learn more, for now hope it helps, or at least some more experienced knights can give some constructive feedback

Hi there, before you consider this response or any others I strongly recommend you keep doing what is fun for you, this is a game after all and leveling your first character can be a lot of fun if you playing how ever you want to so don't let my admittedly incredibly jaded perspective change what is fun for you.

For leveling efficiency in a knight I would strongly recommend picking warrior as a 3rd class and using that to level and picking up a higher lvl wrath rune for your weapon, you can 1 shot all mob up to savage lands when mobs start to get beefier. You can macro whirl wind shield with a 2-h weapon in way that if your delays are correct it will be based off 2-h weapon dmg for aoe quest grinding as well.

Once you reach max level warrior secondary is also hands down the best tank in the game; the 50 elite is better than any other knight or warden tank classes' elites combined.

Once again only view this post in terms of min/maxing what your character can do, if it's not fun don't use it period, you're better served having fun. K/p was my first class combo way back in chapter 1 too and the notion of self heals combined with defense and being nigh unkillable was very enjoyable.

even for leveling up you might want to consider "Shield of Discipline" - if youre using quest gear you'll like it if you hit Aotulia Volcano ...

-63% incoming mdmg and pdmg for 30s...
