Best class for PVP with priest (or knight) as secondary?

Title sort of speaks for itself, was just wondering about which class would be best for PVP with /p or /k as secondary. I'm starting a priest and I think my first 2 classes are going to be priest / knight, as the healing/survivability of that combo is the best. I was wondering about other people's opinions for a DPS PVP class. Seems like everyone things Scouts are crap lately, so I was thinkig either mage/priest or rogue/priest.

Also - is this game dead? I play on Grimdal and I hardly ever see other players around...

Rogue/Knight is decent for siege, as is M/P and W/K.

As a PvP server, Grimdal as quite a bit less players compared to PvE servers, and most of the population are max level, so the lower level zones would be a bit empty.

There are usually free world channels in every server though, which you can join in and chat with. Of course, there's also many guilds willing to help out newer players ^^

General notice about Knight secondary.
There are two good skills: bonus to def, and shield of discipline.
But to cast shield of discipline you must have shield equiped. So S/K, R/K and M/K cant benefit from it. :\

P/K and K/P are extremly good at PVP.
P/K is only good at healing and surviving.
K/P is a great solo class.

W/K is very good if he has a healer on his back.
W/P is poor at PVP.

Scouts are generally nerfed at the moment.

M/P is very good. It has one more instant spell and extra eruption.
I've only seen one M/K on SW. He was quite good with 2 healers on his back.

R/K got nerfed at 6.0 patch, but he is still good.
R/P has lots of PVP elites. I'd love to try that combo. Unfortunately i don't see that class on SWs.

Ch/P is good, especialy when you play in party.
I haven't seen his 60 and 70 elites, but even with 15-50 elites he has a potential as healer/tank combo.
I believe he could be OP class in pvp if he had healer's gear. But this is only my hypothesis.

Don't know anything about Lock/P .

on paper, r/p seems to be incredible in pvp...i have never played one seriously though, so i can't say how it stacks up at endgame or even close...
my r/p can outdps r/m. your name is stupid.

mages should stack dex. word.

R/P isn't that amazing in PvP. If you get off your full SS > LB > WA on someone in PvP, yeah it's going to hit like a truck. Quite honestly PvP doesn't last that long unless you are using immunes. Which is one of the only major advantages of R/P over R/K. R/K has survivability in the form of damage mitigation, escapes, and extra defense. Both have Fear immunes which are only useful when coming up against primary or secondary Warlocks.

M/K and M/P are old standards of PvP damage dealers. They have plenty of instant cast damage skills, survivability, and utility.

K/P in the past have been virtually the most survivable class combo for PvP. They have high Magic and Physical defenses and can heal based on a % of their total HP. They also have magic and physical immunes, and escape mechanisms. Their actual damage output, I have no idea about.

Except that R/P doesn't have to use SS. He uses Sneak Attack which deals more damage and stuns your target at the same time :)

Unless R/P has his 60 elite that stuns his attacker, and gives him time to strike back.
R/K has survivability in the form of damage mitigation, escapes, and extra defense.
R/K has to put stam/def stats to have high suvivability. But then he inflicts poor damage. This is only good when you have a healer or two on your back.
I believe that holy aura, ability to heal, magic barier, and passive -5% damage received gives R/P better survivability.

As a matter of fact i play R/K on SWs and IMO his biggest advantage over other rogues is Shield of Atonement skill and ability to spam mana hits while using shadow prison with energy. Shield of Atonement puts a 7 seconds stun on target (in pvp i believe it is half as long, but still its long enough to kill)
EDIT: Shield of Atonement was renamed to Strike of punishment not so long ago.

If you want to play solo on pvp go for R/P.

yes, i was referring to r/p's 2 stuns (sneak attack and 60 elite) in addition to having holy aura and self heals(not to be used in combat, but nice to be able to heal when infiltrating...)
