maybe he just knew what general area u were, ran towards you, and then targetted as soon as you appeared to him?

do you use yawaka's blessing in SW?

also, did he target you at a range beyond melee-ish?

Na Hide is fine as it is. As Cike said, the range that you see people in hide is determined by your level v's your opponents. I play rogue in siege and rarely have issues with anyone finding me in the manner that you suggested.

The only times I have ever had issues is when buffs like Thunderforce run out....it also pulls you out of hide, which can sometimes go unnoticed.
It's a lot easier than you think to predict the direction a rogue will go when they are in hide, which is always followed by "H@CKER!" when they die (oh and yeh, never use Yawaka's...worst skill any rogue can use if they want to go sneaking around lol)
And of course there are those that use those 'programs' to see rogues.... yes there are people out there that use them, but it is usually rare to find (I have fraps of 1 guild in particular that did it consistently against me >.>)

This has happened to me once, but from the other side. There was a rogue close to our tower - he was clearly in hide (I didn't pay attention to the buffs, but he was kind of grayed-out, like a lower-level mob in hide far from you or when a rogue in hide almost walks over you). I could target him from afar with a mouse without any problems (and, yes, I was called a cheater ).

IDK, it seems glitchy. Maybe there is something wrong with calculating the distance or deciding how to render an enemy based on the distance etc? This guy was pretty far. Gee, it was more than a year ago, I'm not sure what else was around, but I think there were some electric towers. But it is not that he was kicked out hide (by an electric tower or something): both he thought he was still in hide and I could see him as someone in hide (semi-transparent, not in a normal opaque way). Another theory I had was that maybe there was a lag: the system thought he was not in hide anymore (so it gave the positions for rendering etc.) but both our clients still thought he was in hide (so he was rendered semi-transparently).

Anyway - it was weird. Long time ago and I still remember this...

i dunno, ive seen it happen multiple times. I am still newish to rogue so maybe there is something i am missing. but i dont have the yawakas blessing set skill. i know from sieging over the years that using it while trying to stay concealed is a no no.

the way the previous scenario played out, said player was over on our side while i was hanging out in the trees off their b tower. i saw it scroll on screen that he was attacking our a tower for like 3 clicks, so he didnt get the cap, my assumption is one of my guildies stopped him mid cap, then as i was standing there, in hide, i watched him jump off top of his castle wall near his b gate and run straight for me. i should have maybe checked combat log to see what it was he hit me with. being unfamiliar with k/m i have no idea. all i know is before he even got to melee range, i was dead and off he ran. he said i was just standing there in plain sight but i know on my screen i was in hide. had been for minutes. thunderforce had ran out several minutes before this. maybe it was lag from server to me that on his screen the buff run out showed me not in hide, even though on my screen i was in hide. either way, i dont trust hide anymore to truly hide me, nor invisi towers as i have had similar occurance while hanging out in a invisi tower. i intentionally stay out of siege party to limit amount of buffs i have to worry about popping me out of hide when they expire.

I am aware there are 3rd party programs that allow this to happen, but i dont think they are as common as the number of times ive been killed while hidden. would be nice if someone found a way to jam such programs from operating permanantly.

It's fun when your eyeing out one of the best known champs on here and to your surprise you get targeted from like 2000 range away on a bridge when he's at the top of the hill at a tower to see all your buffs on his target like your not in hide at all and then proceeds to target the other rogue in hide right beside you.
Totally legit and you know dam well who you are.

Best thing that has ever happened to me in siege happened the other day-
Warrior targets Rogue in hide. Warrior runs at Rogue. Warrior charges Rogue. Vengeance Sting kills Warrior.
