Returning from hiatus, checking build viability

Hello,

I'm wanting to get back into RoM but I'm trying to decide which character to get back into.

I've read through the patch notes from 5.0.0 to 6.0.6 and I saw through the notes that they made some improvements to Warrior. I remember when I talked to some guildemates a few months ago that they said W/Wd was pretty good now. I'm wondering about other combos. Has rage issues been fixed with W/S making it viable? Is W/R the main alternative to W/Wd ?

TL;DR = What are the current end-game viable warrior builds?

Also, could someone post an up-to-date rotation for any build they suggest? I imagine I'm gonna have to change my macros from before.

For DPS warriors w/m is best but u gotta stat like a mage. w/wd is a good DPS but wd/w is better. w/s is pretty good but still not really close to w/m or r/m or wd/w from what i have seen. w/r isnt very useful right now i don't think . For a tank warrior w/k is only real option but still not ideal in endgame instances when u could just play k/w for their debuff.
Hrimthurs - 82w/82k/71s - Artemis - valhallaguild - vice guild leader - 223k hp - 230k pdef unbuffed on k/w
Brianboru 82w/82m/53wd - Artemis - valhallaguild - vice guild leader

In terms of physical DPS, yes the w/wd seems to be the best especially now that the 2h axe from new instance gives immense critical. W/M is also great but keep in mind it does magical damage, so it stats like a mage. What I recommend to you is not to limit your options, champions are similar to warriors and get exactly the same attributes and stat strength as well but they generate rage faster. Also wardens are similar in that they use chain gear and stat strength as well, only exception being the wd/w which is a tank.

Common misconception. It CAN tank but it is not "strictly" a tank. Wd/w gets nearly as much patk as w/wd and gets more pdmg. I do more dps on wd/w then i do w/wd, which is a dps class. So wd/w is not "just" a tank. It can do either.

w/p (with 70 elite) is quite strong, but I don't know how it compares to w/wd in terms of dps output. Slash hits twice every use (50 elite) for like 15 or 20s something like that, you get near perma bonus rage regen from bloodlust, and the 70 elite makes bloodlust also increase attack speed by 7 or 8% which can be refreshed. It also gains some odd support skill, increases dmg of party members next 4 attacks or something, and has an hp buff (that stacks with other hp buffs). w/p can be quite strong, but again, I can't give direct comparison to others since I haven't personally played w/p.

Only way a wd/w can beat a w/wd in DPS is with the lvl 70 elite and that lasts only 30 secs. If you can burn in 30 secs, then yes, wd/w beats w/wd but if fight lasts longer, I highly doubt the warden can out dps the warrior. Also take into consideration that all the wd/w skills are designed to generate aggro so you better be pretty damn good in managing aggro or else...Not saying that the wd/w cannot do dps but it isn't your traditional one. Also I would rather have that extra 0.5 (1/4) extra patt per strength attribute, especially when you use pots, titles, and modifiers etc.
