Just an example:
Rogue Leather: Mello's Calmness (has dagger damage boost)
Scout Leather: Wanderer's Solitude (crit boost)

Further example for cloth:
Mage Cloth: Elemental Short Robe (magic damage boost - probably also best for a Warlock)
Priest (or Druid) Cloth: Holyspring War Coat (healing boost)

Who remember farming Mystic Altar for hours to collect their respective sets from there?

well, MA gear used to be class locked, so that was a huge pita, especially for wardens and druids, who were not immediately added when they were released.

Only one piece per set initially.

When they finally allowed the chain and cloth sets to be worn by Wardens and Druids, they restriced each piece of those sets.

Thankfully, nowadays, there's no restrictions.

As a lifetime Warrior, I still truely belive W/R can be an endgame DPS that can carry it's weight. Shadowstab is a spammable skill as long as you have the energy from it. Most of your DPS will come from rage skills though.

I don't think giving all warriors, a rage regen will be a smart thing. I do W/K in SW and I'm already tough to kill, now imagine being able to have 100 rage when I start any fight. Not many would stand a chance with all the stuns a W/K can do, not counting the fact it has spammable skills due to the Knight side.

5% dmg boost would make me almost impossible to stop in SW. Except for that Flame Spam. Can't do much against 20 flames that crit for 20k from a fail 50k hp M/WD.

:borg:

well I agreed with you at one point, I thought w/r could be a end game dps. or maybe my expectations were to high? but a r/m always doubled my dps. since recently switched to w/wd. ill see how that goes if we can ever get a run going on grimdal.

One really simple solution would be to drop the cooldown on probing attack to either 1sec or have it use the global cooldown. That's how easy it would be. Might not be super crazy broken class dps, but it would increase it at least.

I did say W/m was not a real warrior people they dont wear chain or use an axe and they don't use pattack= not real warrior. As far as w/wd you have to be an elf so why should i have to make a new toon to do real damage?

As someone who has been playing warrior primary for a very long time, I have to say Warrior DPS is fine in most cases. You simply have to put the effort in to learn how to use it.

it is sad and true only option for a human race statting physical attack dps gear atm is rogue/mage no other class combo for the human race can come even close to its dps, only other viable thing would be k/w with its debuff which is actually helpful for a party but doesnt even come close to doing dmg a dps can do.

for elf theres w/wd, r/wd, wd/w, wd/s and r/m. for dwarf theres ch/r and r/m (maybe some other combo like w/ch havent seen any).

Warrior has a higher learning curve than most of the other classes. You have to learn how to manage rage, that's the way it is played. Warrior was designed to do more damage as the fight went along, needing to build rage and then sustain it, but we found away around that by potting to maximize rage right away. This is the class, I did not like managing rage, so I played another. As a scout (I only pretend to be a rogue) if a focus pot gave me that kind of DPS, I would do that in a heart beat.

First toon was W/k back in chapter 1. Damage and defense was always very good. Biggest problem is that it's not an FOT class, so few players understand how much a warrior can actually do.
As mentioned earlier, more warriors make more damage, sadly there have been times when I have played for weeks without seeing another warrior that played as a warrior.

Side note, used to love it in siege when an r/? would shadow prison me, I'd start spamming moon cleave or blasting cyclone as soon as it hit, I normally had enough HP to take a few hit's and that rogue would be dead and asking wtf happened.
