How to Play K/M

I an currently leveling a Knight to play K/M in Seige War. I have looked everywhere to try and find a guide or some kind of help on how to play this class and I can't seem to find anything. I been asking on my server what weapon I should get, should it be a 2h Sword or 2h Hammer, I get conflicting responses. Some say Sword and others say hammer. Can anyone advise which is better and why? Also can anyone just explain to me how to play this class?

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

think the best weapon for k/m atm is the 2-h hammer from dreamland (thats the place by FA)

Knights 2h sword skill only maxes at 117, while 2h hammer maxes at 234. So you want a 2h hammer for much less "miss"es :) for your white hits which is the main souce of K/M damage.

The lv90 magical 2h hammer from Dreamland is your best option

K/M is much like the warmage, only slower and more skills. I agree, 2h hammer is good, but shield+sword(also from Dreamland) is good for the extra defence. Having them both makes it nice to swap around from time to time.

- The biggest hit you do is from the Light Energy Weapon (its like the warmage elite, you have to deal a white hit to do damage). This skill is sometimes a bit buggy because when you hit a building/mob in gm, and you kill it, you kill yourself too. Having a sword also increases your attack speed, while the hammer does greater damage.
- WarPrayer is a nice skill with nice damage you can do. Fireball and Lightning from the mage side are also very usefull. And silence ofcourse! yes! silence! :P
- The Holy Light Domain elite is a nice elite to have triggered when you are figting. It increases your defences while dealing (low) damage to all the people surrounding you.
- About the Mana Shield I'm not sure. I know some people really like to use it in siege war, I dont. I drains your mana in a split second so you are only depending on your white hits. And since everyone is running around like headless chickens in siege war, its nice to have some mana.
- The skills Shield of Dicipline and Shield of Valor you should use every time you run into a fight, it helps alot.

Mana shield + Shield of valor + Shield of Discipline + a couple atk speed buffs = dead group of people :D You will absorb everything (including most roots from lightning for example) because of mana shield, shield of valor and discipline have you take less damage allowing your mana shield to stay up longer, all the while... running around with Holy Light Domain active white hitting people :)

Edit: And of course remember to use intensification and holy strength together when you pop these other cooldown if you can... They will turn a two shot into a one shot :p

Depends who you fight against, I stopped playing k/m cause you just get 100x stuns/roots, you named it and you just stand there and 10x people punch while you try to do autoattacks, but they don't work cause siege lag. Buffs mentioned above doesnt save you from strike of punishment and shadowprison spam, unless you go in with Serenstum, but that gives you 6 seconds only.

True, my playstyle isn't always the best for the situation, cause I always wanna go in first, doesn't matter how tanky i am and take them all!

Is it worth trying to play k/m in siege with 2h-hammer only? I don't have sword anymore.

Okey, I'm just asking cause when I was playing k/m and went fullbuffed with 2h-hammer, I got killed pretty was with buffs you mentioned, but i guess my defense and gear as good as now.

I buff 400k pdef with HLD, with shield it should be 600k now.

or you can use 2h hammer all you want... make a swap gear macro for 1h and shield...use "a" skill or "b" skill and instantly swap back to 2h hammer... and be rly OP.
then any option u want is open.. and ur surviveability in siege is absolutely huge.

I wonder if it's worth playing K/M as a DD in instances and stuff. I currently am Knight / Warrior / Mage, 90/71/52 . Is the 70 Elite important for a K/M?
Would you recommend playing K/M or is it a waste of time :-/?

I also wonder what skills you have to max as K/M? Is it just Holy Light Domain, Light Energy Weapon and War Prayer on the Knight side? Or do you need Punishment or other skills as well?

I found a guide in the german forums which suggested the rota including punishment. But I don't get how punishment can be effective as it is physical light damage and not magical light damage.

Could anyone of you post the rota they're using in instances?

I have never played K/M myself... not sure on that 70 elite but I am pretty certain that intensification from the mage side is a major buff // it helps for mage to be max level for the light damage boost?

just a quick few things i've found from playing the class, as far as 1 hand vs 2 hand weps, I have a 1 hand hammer and 2 hand hammer, the hammer is sitting about 4k m damage and the 2 hand hammer is sitting about 7.8k m damage. as far as damage goes for me solo my top hit with full attack with 2 hander fully buffed is 2.6 mil where the one hander is 1.6 mil but the dps is about the same because of wep spd for me, this is probably different for others pending on how u gear and what u do, im not endgame and dont care to be. my top solo is rt diamond. tbh i've actually started to not use my 2hander because i can do more with 1 hand and shield, i get more m attack more survival. the 70 elite is nice for pvp and if u want to tank, so is it worth it kinda. as far as gear/skills that help ya, pending what u do 1 hander vs 2 hand skills, 2 hander less skills needed but your glass cannon, light energy max, devotions max, war prayer max, holy light domain max thats really all u need as k/m with 2 hand wep from your mage side u need intensification, silence, fireball and lightning, the int buff helps a bit for m attack if u got tp for it, if u go one hand do all your def skill and wws with above mentioned. gear: gear like a mage, stating i've played with stam/m attack because of stam mods, dont waste your time, its not big enough to make difference, so i found best stat for me was 4 int/m attack 2 stam/m attack with gear i have now getting about 200k hp buffed and 140k m attack. food pending what u want i normally run grassland and m damage food, burn phase lute, moti sausage, intensification, strong stim, holy str also on fights u can spam holy strike and disarment they do not effect yoru white hits, war prayer is great to use when u can, holy light domain is great to keep up but it will interupt your white hits when u hit it, so time it well, fireball, silenence and lightning will also interupt white hits so time them well if u use. overall love the class for solo play, i dont do sw much, but can tell ya in sw with 2 hander i died more then i did anything else, where 1 hander i survival alot, since most ppl forgot what k/m can do since everyone quit playing them in sw for the most part i dont get rooted or stuned much hope it helps ya and if u have any questions i'll try to respond when i can or if u want ingame char name i can give ya that too

I only instakill myself in Course of Terror when I forget and attack the void thingies that summon the mobs. I believe it is because they have so few hitpoints. The key is, as mentioned above, to not have any Physical Attack, so the white hit itself does as little as possible. I think my Patt is somewhere around 10K, and Matt around 70k. I have yet to instakill myself in Seige, goblin mines, or general farming. (Oh, don't go into goblin mines as K/M geared for full attack, you are just too damn slow, it can be frustrating, and who cares if you can hit a goblin for 1M+ damage)
