Diyce doesn't start its combat duration timer until the first hit lands. As a ranged class, your skills have varying travel times. This means you can cast a "slow" skill and a faster one at the start of combat and both will land close to diyce time 0:00 (idk if projectile speed has anything to do with it in this case, but it does in other situations -- vampire arrows for example has an almost instant travel time).

1) cast snipe
2) cast charged chop
3) cast hidden peril

Since no gcd from charged chop, hidden peril and cc cast at pretty much the same time, snipe fires at time 0:00. Autoshot on scout goes inbetween and has a fast travel time iirc. Idk the travel time of ranged charged chop. So you get 4 hits in under 1 second due to the first hit being at time 0:00.

Forgive Blank, I think he was very tired... Scrut, not DYICE.

Also the order was Snipe, Autoshot, CC, Hidden Peril;

Snipe has travel time
Auto shot is activated right away because snipe is a cast not causing GCD
Charged chop hit as snipe hit as it has no travel time (or very minimal travel time)
Hidden peril was used right after CC as CC does not trigger GCD, and Hidden Peril also has next to no travel time.

Hence, scrut registering all of the hits in under a 1 second duration.

I was there for that! He dropped so fast it was crazy.

However to all you people saying scouts are broken op now, I will say this: there are many times when snipe or CC misses. And when that happens that's a BIG chunk of your damage down the drain. It's been said that snipe is putting all your eggs in one basket, and for the most part that's right. It's difficult to try to time snipe and cc into 3s of AD and takes lots of practice.

So does scout need a nerf? I don't think so. Now if only they could be good off of burn as well >:D

Ohhhh dude! What a big problem!!!!! Other classes are putting all their eggs in a basket to do 3-5 kk hits and trying to do impossible tactics for no rewards.... Please tell me that you are joking

It is a big problem... If one or both of your 2 skills dont crit, you are basically bottom of scrut, if you do crit on BOTH only than can you do a nice burst of damage, where as with every other class and their 3m hits, they can hit over and over again, so 1 non crit will barely affect them. Hence the term "putting all their eggs in one basket" being used... Only Scout and Ch/M is like this, what other classes do you mean that are so dependent on 1 single hit during a boss fight?

No, I obviously don't. Autoshot does not hit nearly that hard for an average scout. And for the sake of explination since you clearly aren't getting it or refuse to, CC easy 3m+, flame, easy 3m+, Open flank easy 3m+, ET easy 3m dps... Other classes get spammable skills that all do great damage, im not saying scout needs a buff, im saying it should be adjusted in some way, so that its damage isn't dependent on one single hit, jeeze.

My scout is still under works usually a lot of old pieces statted with stam/pa... but even with just 127k patk unbuffed. Scout can show its true self :D (yes its grotto I know -.- some people still enjoy running it, shocker.) That 46m DPS :p
How do you get 4 hits off in 0.78 seconds :eek:
snipe-AS-CC-(choice of final hit) should be about 0.78 seconds iirc, as snipe-AS go at the same time, AS resets GCD, and CC doesn't have GCD on whatever comes next.

scout is not bad DPS

Scout/warden is very good DPS class. I have done 14m DPS as a rogue/mage with the same gear and a tier 13 dagger. With a tier 13 level 92 bow, my best so far in Pillars of Morfan Hardmode has been 24.7 M DPS.

Buffs:
Sw titles: FT, SA, Ironblood on the scout
Knight/priest 10% dmg
Warrior/Warden 5% dmg
Champ/Priest 20% dmg
Warden/scout 14% dmg, 5% attack speed
Champ/mage 12% dmg for one person
Warlock/mage 20% patk, 20% attack speed

Debuffs:
SW titles: Tactical 19, Midnight Rit
Warden 3% more damage done to target for 30 seconds
Scout/Warden 10% done to target for 10 seconds
Scout/Rogue 16% more damage done to target for 12 seconds
Champ/mage 10% pdef drop for 10 seconds, 6% pdef drop
Druid/Rogue 15.7% pdef drop, 1980 crit resist drop
Mage/Warlock 30% pdef drop
Knight/Warrior 50% more damage done for 3 seconds
Warlock/mage 100% more damage done for 1 second
