Champion/warrior has great potential in becoming an OP tank in ROM.

The most effective ch/w rotation that I use:

* Regular buffs (pots/foods/pets etc.)

Before Fight rotation:

(Start without Shield Form on)

Energy Restore --> Deadland Protection (70/70 elite) --> Battle Defense Transfer (ISS) --> COUNTDOWN (party) --> Forge - Caviar Sandwich (10% more critical damage) --> Instrument (Rattle is good for extra physical defense but only if party has lute/tambourine) --> Strong Stimulant (25% more attack speed) --> Shield Form --> Clone Conversion (ISS) --> Enraged --> Strength of Battle (100 rage) --> Madness Potion (30% more aggro) --> Shield Form --> Rune Growth --> Feedback Defense --> Rune Energy Influx --> Determination Rune --> (Can put Eye for an Eye in here, but better to use during boss fight) --> Shock Strike Boss as soon as you run in --> Imprisonment Pulse (I use if the boss immediately spawns adds at the beginning of the fight) -->SPAM macro or DIYCE

(This before fight rotation can also be used for any champion tanking combos - excluding warrior skills)

During Fight rotation:

* Forge must be always on.

* SPAM macro/DIYCE if you have - For auto attack/auto rune pulse (macro or DIYCE will automatically white hit boss and automatically cast Rune Pulse when Chain Drive is up) .

* Determination Rune (30 second cooldown) must be re-applied every 30 seconds.

* Defensive Formation can be applied during fight (50% more physical defense) but only once your aggro is a maximum peak (50% physical attack decrease).

* Shock Strike must always be frequently casting (aggro multiple - 6 second cooldown).

* Rune Growth, Feedback Defense and Rune Energy Influx must always be re-applied during fight.

* Eye for an Eye (2 minute cooldown) can be applied by your liking anytime during fight, or before the boss may do high damage hits.

* Remodeled body is extremely useful once you have very very low HP and about to get 1 shot by boss.

* Agitated Whirlpool (5 minute cooldown) and Rune Draw can be used if a party member(s) gain mob or boss aggro. Rune draw may be good to use during anytime of fight to increase aggro.

* Kinetic burn is only for mob aggro, not boss - Rune Overload can be applied if you can maintain your aggro.

* Whirlwind is useful if boss spawns mobs.

* Aoth Cape macro and Energy Restore (ISS) can be applied during fight to maintain aggro.

* Blast of Divergence: useless.

(This during fight rotation can also be used for any champion tanking combos - excluding warrior skills)

Notes:

* If Deadland Protection is on, it is probably critical to have druid/warden Briar Shield on you for increased healing, since there is a 100% physical defense increase, but -50% healing for tank.

disclaimer: I know nothing about champion tanking.

if you are already below PA minimum with full buffs, then you can use defensive formation irregardless of aggro state, as the -PA will have no effect on aggro generation, and minimal effect if you are only just above it.

not sure how much PA most champ tanks run though.
my r/p can outdps r/m. your name is stupid.

mages should stack dex. word.

Just curious, Racka. Why are you using Clone Conversion before the fight, wasting time on its buff and an extra hit? Seems like it would be best to run in on shield form, get chain drive and use shock strike/rune pulse (both have x10 aggro, but rune pulse hits for far more) and then use clone conversion? (Yes, I realize that chain drive goes off the most while in shield form, but between the two, with a maxed Rune Energy Influx, that rune pulse could generate 20m aggro easily, though probably more. I forget my calculations.) Then again, I may not know much about why you do your rotation this way as I don't tank. Just curious, really.

Also, what level is your shield form?

and then use clone conversion?

This would require you to tank the boss in dwarf mode for 6 seconds (which disables aggro bonuses on rune pulse and shock strike). It would also result in your attacks prior to be less damage (lower patk).

I had always thought rune pulse's aggro generation was broken (the multiplier under shield form was not working) Anyway yea it'd be a good idea to throw in Rune Energy Influx into that rotation rackdaddy for whenever its up ;o Helps on aggro a ton as it is basically the champion equivalent to knight's Threaten.

It was. It got fixed a few months ago. And, yea. Rune Energy Influx is a must in my opinion for champion tanking. It boosts aggro by 171.8% if rom_welten is right (currently not in game to check).

What Rovie said ^

* Just extra physical attack for few seconds into the fight

* Clone Conversion is popped during countdown and will not hit boss (unless you are way too close) then shield form is popped again

- My Shield Form is +50 (maxed) :pump:

Personally I would use rune overload instead of imprisonment pulse since it's continous. Enraged, Energy restore, rage cape, rage pot, energy supply, thats 370 points of rage from pots alone and then you will generate rage from being hit by the boss and the 20% rage generation multiplier from using enraged. I find thats more than enough rage to last the burn while using all the other aggro skills, Since you will likely to be able to send out only 2 shock strikes during a typical burn.
-Failed attempt of trying to put a picture in here cause I don't know how to-

ROM's one and only pure stam/pdef stated tank

REACHED 13.57M PDEF ON 29/09/2016, NO SIGIL, HAIDON, ZODIAC OR RELATIONSHIP BUFF.

Retired until mages are buffed or melee's are nerfed

building ch/w with stre/patt and stre/stam , can use old tank accessories with stam/def/patt/hp
im still thinking of using 1h+tali for extra hatred/raid etc .. will prefer hammer over axe tho .. don't care much for the minor bleed from slash

You would never use an axe on champion. You don't get the weapon mastery from it, which means a significant drop in aggro.
