General Champ guide

:whistling: Hmm looked around forum, there doesn't seem to be a champ guide even though its a major class in the game. So I thought I will make one. It will probably take me a few sit downs to finish the whole thing, I just don't have the patience to do the whole thing in one go :p. So please bare with me, Ill get around to covering all the combo's. Also anyone here who believe that I have made a mistake or missed something, please do feel free to correct me. If you have any question then PM me on forum or send a pm/message to Professorpenguin on govinda.

People who helped write this thread- Zerienga

I will first cover all the general champ skills followed by the champ secondary skill, ISS and gear. After that I will start with individual combo's and their elites.

General skills (I will put in the numbers of these skills as if they are level 0)

Electrocution-Uses 20 rage and Inflicts 90% main hand weapon physical dps on target. Also invokes a state of Electrocution and interrupts the target's spell casting. Lasts for 8 sec. When maxed, Eloctrocution is the highest dps skill for champ primaries. It reaches 645% dps.

Sadly the duration of the interruption of spell casting does not increase as you level the skill. Max when able.

Heavy Bash- Uses 20 rage and Inflicts 65.0% main hand weapon physical DPS on the target. There is also a chance it will cause Heavy Bash when it lands a hit. This reduces Physical Attack Power and Physical Defense by 2%. Lasts 12.0 seconds. Can be stacked max. 3 times.

Not the best of dps skills but the 2% pdef reduction is nice, but sadly does not increase as you level the skill. The pdef reduction can be stacking 3 times giving an over all pdef reduction of 6%, which is pretty nice and should be used (nod to all ch/p debuffers out there) if there are champs in a raid that isn't tanking. Most champions have issues with fast rage generation, so if a champ is tanking they are unlikely to be able to stack heavy bash 3 times while also being able to use their tank skills.

Hammer weapon proficiency- Hammer weapons can be equipped.

Pretty self explanatory.

Energy influx strike- Uses 25 rage. Adds a charged rune to your attacks. Inflicts 70.0% main hand weapon DPS physical damage on targets. If the target is in an Electrocution state, this attack always lands a critical hit.

Not a high dps skill and uses up too much rage. Level and use if you feel like.

Runecraft-Diversion- Passively increases parry rate by 75 points.

Sadly champion can't wear plate gear. If they could the parry from a full set of plate gear along with this skills maxed would make champs very difficult to damage indeed, in pve and pvp.

Runecraft-Solidify- This skill maxes at 50 and increase stamina by current stamina +60.5*5.5%+60.5

Pretty decent skill, definitely max since its only to level 50, the stamina boost is nice.

Shock Strike-Uses 25 rage and Inflicts 75.0% main hand weapon physical DPS on multiple targets within a range of 100 in a fan-shaped area in front of you. Also Stuns targets for 1.0 seconds. If used while in a Shield Form, then there is an extra increase of aggro caused by this skill.

Although it doesn't say how much aggro is increase, this skill by far is the biggest aggro generator champions have access to. Max it max it max it, if you plan on tanking.

BAH-will put the rest up later, 60 min cool down on posts is annoying.
-Failed attempt of trying to put a picture in here cause I don't know how to-

ROM's one and only pure stam/pdef stated tank

REACHED 13.57M PDEF ON 29/09/2016, NO SIGIL, HAIDON, ZODIAC OR RELATIONSHIP BUFF.

Retired until mages are buffed or melee's are nerfed

Carrying on

Champions secondary skill

Forge- Normal attack hits increase caster's Physical Attack Power by 2.0% for 300.0 seconds. Can be stacked 5 times. Also increases rage by 10.0 points and has a chance to make your next Rune Pulse be an instant spell and increases inflicted damage by 20.0% for 8.0 seconds.

By normal attack it means white hits on the mob. Pretty self explanatory skill, keep it active at all times.

Rune draw- Uses rune power to drag targets to the front and interrupts its spell casting. Also forces it to concentrate on you and you become the one with the most aggro. It also increases your aggro by 5.0%.

Uses nothing and has a 40 second cool down. Pretty decent skill for getting initial aggro, is also a good substitute for silence.

Finishing hammer-Increase damage of one handed and two handed hammers.

MAX IT.

Rune pulse-Inflicts 80% main hand weapon DPS. If used while in shield form, the amount of aggro generated by this skill increases per level.

Uses nothing but has a cool down of 6 seconds and a cast time of 2 seconds. This skill by far is the strongest dps skill champions have and it generates aggro on top of that, bonus for tanks. So maxing this skill has to be a priority.

Fearless blow- Inflicts 85% main hand weapon DPS on the target in addition to restoring 3 rage. When the target's HP is below 30% this skill's damage increases by 30%.

When maxed, Fearless Blow is the second best champ primary dps skill (not including rune pulse in the list of best since I'm pretty sure it's well known that it's the best dps skill). Also, while the cost is 15 rage, as it gets higher in level, the rage regained gets closer and closer to 15 and even surpasses it. Max it when able.

Shield form- Activates Shield Form. Increases your accuracy by 5.0% and converts 10% of your Strength to Stamina.

Self explanatory skill, max if you feel like you don't have enough hp and pdef but have a lot a of patk that you wouldn't mind parting with. How much tp a player puts in to this really depends on how they are geared and stated.
Note to RW if anyone from there is reading this or if any of the Gm's can forward this, PLEASE PLEASE GIVE US A TICKET THAT LETS US CHANGE THE COLOUR OF OUR SHIELD FORM. I WANT TO TANK BOSSES AS A BRIGHT PINK CHAMPION.

Rune energy influx- Converts rage to life. Restores 1% HP. If used while in Shield Form, then the amount of aggro caused by attacks is increased by 15%.

Neat skill, only uses 10 rage, instant cast and has a cool down of 10 seconds. I use it as a filler to generate aggro while shock strike Is on cool down. So a priority skill to max for champion tanks. Use in conjunction with shock strike and rune pulse.

Runecraft fortify-While in shield form, Physical Defense is increased by 9.0%.

Self explanatory skill. Maxes out at 50 so max it, even if you are not planning on tanking or putting any tp in shield form.

Chain drive- While Forge is in effect, all hits landed by normal attacks have a chance to reset the cooldown time of Rune Pulseand and increase damage dealt. Also, turn the next charging skill into an instant skill.

Very good skill, its passive so you got no choice whether you want to use it or not. But must be utilised if you are tanking or dpsing so you can spam rune pulse as often as possible.

Rune Growth- Enhances your equipment in normal states. Increases Physical Attack Power by 1.0% for 15.0 seconds. When used in a Shield Form state, causes a reduction of Received Physical Damage and Received Magical Damage by 5.0%.

This is an instant skill that uses no rage and only has a 15 second cool down. If you want to be sneaky you can use this while in normal mode and then change into shield form where you get the attack boost instead of the damage reduction one. Level to 50 and then after that level if you have spare tp.

Agitated whirlwind- Forces multiple targets within a radius of 75 to turn towards you, and you become the one with the most aggro. Also increases your aggro by 1.0%.When it hits, it will reduce Received Physical Damage and Received Magical Damage by 5.0% for 5.0 seconds. (Can only be used in a Shield Form state.)

The skill has a 5 min cool down and is instant. Very useful for getting back aggro if any nub dps forgot to use tranq or recon. Not the best of aggro skills though, because the aggro gained from this skill can't be maintained for very long. Level to 50 and then level more if you spare tp.

Vacuum wave-Silences multiple enemies within a radius of 75 for 2 seconds. (If the target is a player the state lasts for 2 seconds.)

Self explanatory skill, maxes out at 50 anyways so max it. Uses 40 rage with a cool down of 30 seconds, so do not use it during tanking, if you need to silence the boss let the dps or debuffers deal with that, because it will be huge drain on your rage pool. But can be very useful in siege since it's an aoe.

Last line of Defence- When used while in a Shield Form state and current HP is less than 30%, it reduces Received Physical Damage and Received Magical Damage by 2.0%.

Skill maxes out at 50 and is very good obviously specially since its passive so you don't even need to click it when the requirements are met, so max it.

Imprisonment pulse - Sets up an imprisonment field in a designated area, inflicting 50% main hand weapon physical DPS on most targets. Also reduces Movement Speed by 10% for 5.0 seconds. Reduces target's Movement Speed by a maximum of 30.0%. If the target is a player, this state lasts for 5.0 seconds.

Instant cast skill, uses 30 rage and has a 30 second cool down. Very good skill. Try to land this on boss while you are running to the boss since it will continuously do dps and slow down the boss. The slow can also be utilised in pvp if you make a macro for it similer to the macro mages use for thunder storm. Level to 50 then level as you see fit.

Kinetic burn - Heat is dispelled 30 times in an instant. Inflicts 20% main hand weapon physical DPS to most targets in range. Also inflicts 3 points Fire Damage every 2 seconds. Lasts for 6.0 seconds.

Uses 30 rage and has a cool down of 6 seconds. Sadly this skill is a cast and the cast can be interrupted and you can't use any other skill while this is being cast unlike imprisonment pulse and rune overload. But the damage done by this skill can be greatly increased if there is a wl/m in party putting soul brand on boss. Level to 50 then level as you see fit.

Feedback defence - Activates a protective shield that lasts for 3.0 seconds. Raises Physical Defense by 5% while in effect. Attacks received are reflected and cause 2% main hand weapon physical DPS.

Self explanatory skill, maxes out at 50, so max it.

Overrule - Provides immunity to the effects of Helpless, Stun, Root and Slow. Lasts 3.0 seconds. (Target must be affected by Movement Impairing Effect or Stun for removal to work.)

Good pvp skill, probably best to make a macro for it since you do have to target yourself. Maxes out at 50 so max it.

Remodelled body - Counteracts one fatal blow and restores all HP while in effect. Lasts for 8.0 seconds.

OP skill, literally gives you a second life which can be increased to a 3rd life if you use phoenix redemption, as far as I know no other combo in game has that. you don't lost most of your buffs when you are revived by this skill. Point to note here, this skill only kicks in if you activate it and someone delivers the killing blow to you within in the 8 second the skill is active. If you still have hp left after 8 second, this skill will not revive you.

Rune overload - Consumes 15.0 points rage every second while in effect. Continuously inflicts 60% main hand weapon physical DPS to multiple targets in the immediate vicinity. (This effect ceases when rage reaches 0.)

Very good dps skill and definitely use if you can keep up the rage generation. Also is a good aggro generator when shock strike is on cool down. But be aware it will quickly drain your rage pool, so max if you can.
Point to note here, imprisonment pulse, kinetic burn and rune overload are all good skill for finding those pesky rogues in hide during siege.

To be continued

Fearless Blow - When maxed, Fearless Blow is the second best champ primary dps skill (not including rune pulse in the list of best since I'm pretty sure it's well known that it's the best dps skill). Also, while the cost is 15 rage, as it gets higher in level, the rage regained gets closer and closer to 15 and even surpasses it. I'd say max it when able.

Electrocution - When maxed, Eloctrocution is the highest dps skill for champ primaries. It reaches 645% dps. I'd say that this skill should be maxed when able.

Rune Energy Influx - I'd say this skill is a must to max. It is a huge aggro generator, and combined with Rune Pulse (which is, imo, the best champ aggro skill due to x10 aggro on the highest champ dps skill), you can generate 20m aggro easily from a single Rune Pulse. Have up all the time if you're tanking.

Shield Form - Honestly, I'd recommend leveling this skill to its 50% effect mark (somewhere around lvl 29 or so) if you're tanking or if you're just leveling as it provides a nice stamina boost without losing a ton of patk. No need to to go all out to lvl 50.

Remodeled Body - You do lose some buffs (not many), but I haven't figured out a list of all the buffs it removes, though one I'm pretty sure on is Rune Growth.

I'll list more when you post the rest.

@ GMs: Once the rest is posted, I will repost this. When I do, please remove this original post.

@ OP: Once you are finished with the guide, you might want to add links to each specific part of the guide in the first post.

Your points have been noted and relevant changes has been made. You have been added as an author.

Apology for the incorrect info on some of the skills, I really didn't get to experiment with it as much as I would have liked, unfortunately my guild doesn't have enough end gamers for me to just run around in non fotm combo experimenting on end game runs.

@Gm's please remove the above stuff once the guide is finished.

Carrying on

Gears

Regardless of whether a champ is going to dps or tank they should use the same gears. In a perfect world champions should use the 4 piece (chest, helmet, boots, shoulder) set from coeh. Along with the 4 piece (ring, leg, gloves, belt) dmg set from pomh. As well as hoe accs and myth ring and mem earing. But if you can’t help hold of that then using combination of myth and crafted chain gear should suffice.

I am not going to discuss how to stat a champ in this section because the stating can differ greatly depending on the class combo being played and the role said champ wishes to fulfil.

Weapon

Imho every champ should have an end game tiered and plussed 2h hammer and a 1h hammer. Because you will switch back and forth between them a lot. As for what off hand to use, I will discuss that when we talk about specific combos.

Runes

Typical melee runes. Massacre, enigma, tyrant, assassin.

Same for the weapons. Raid, fatal, wrath, hatred or recon (pends on what you are doing).

Pet

Champs use melee pets most of the time, so get a low lvl earth pet and get its aptitude to 100 then level it. What transformation a player use is up to the player. Most melee uses the dino transformation for their pet which is ideal. I use the ice plain sabre tooth one because it gives huntsman assist (10% patk boost) and fanning the flames, which increases the aggro generated by master by 10% for 15 seconds.

I guess people can get the light type pet instead of the earth one if they really want the extra stam and are super into tanking.

ISS

Disassembly mode – This iss is obtained from vendors in thh. Doesn’t need to have any tp put into it, it essentially does the opposite of shield form and converts 80% stam into str. I do use this skill, but not very often. Mainly because even when dpsing, you need to be in shield form to be able to access a lot of the champion skills.

Clone conversion- Instantly cancels Shield Form and causes 700.0% main hand weapon damage to surrounding targets. Increases caster's attack by 20.0% and reduces damage taken by 20.0% for 15.0 seconds. Puts Shield Form into a cooldown state for 6 seconds.

Can be rather useful in siege if you are in a tight spot, but don’t use unless you are sure you can finish of the players around you, because otherwise you will be locked out of shield form while they attack you. The attack boost is pretty self-explanatory. This iss is a must for champs and is obtained from the chain set from Warnaoken arena.

Note to GM/RW-I do believe this iss is slightly bugged and puts shield form in cd for 7.5 seconds instead of the written 6 seconds in the description.

Battle defence transfer- Each of your attacks will increase your defense by 3.0%, stackable up to 30.0%. Lasts for 10.0 second.

What this means is that each white hit that is landed on the boss or mob will increase the defence of the champ by 3%, and since it stacks 10 times it’s a 30% over all pdef boost. This iss is obtained from raksha temple and is a MUST for champs.

Rune guardian- Sacrifice 50.0% HP to create a shield that protects your party members for 5.0 seconds.

Good for siege, specially when that darn herald miss calculates the casting of fearless and it falls few second short of the time needed to cap towers. As for pve, I guess a ch/p debuffer can use this skill if the boss has a habit of dishing out strong DOT’s. The iss is obtained from the boro boro chain set in Grafu castle and should be obtained by a champ if possible.

Energy supply - Instantly recovers 100.0% rage.

Self-explanatory skill, get it if possible. Has a cool down of 60 seconds, basically like a second rage cape with lower cool down. Very useful for intense fights when a lot of high rage based skills are used. The iss is obtained from the chain set in sardo castle.

Power upgrade- Increases Dodge Rate by 10.

This is an ok iss I guess. It’s a passive buff, so get it if you can. Iss is obtained from the chain set in tosh.

Buffs

house maid buff, haidons 3% attack or 3% pdef or 3% hp boost (choose depending on role), guild buffs, legendary and adult zodiac pet, wedding foods, glassland or pdef food (depending on whether you are dpsing or tanking. Also depends on if you feel like you need more pdef or have enough pdef and want to go for hp), hero pot, damp or amp (which ever one is available, but sadly if you are a ch.r then ignor this part, cause you cant get either), wl weave, giant guardian pot, touch of unicorn (more hp Is always good :p), flower god blessing, pet, rt iss.

I think that's all of the general buffs. The pre boss cool downs differ slightly from combo to combo, I will go more into them when I discuss the different combo's.

To be continued at some unknown point in the future. I am by no means an expert of champs, so I do not wish to post information here that I did not do through research on. Big thanks to Zerienga for taking the time to put some key information in.

Note about Disassembly Mode: This form can actually change how you may choose to stat if you are going to dps all the time in this form. I forget how far behind (me and blamankminded had discussed this a while back), but this form enables some of the newer str/stam or stam/str be better than older str/patk stats. However, I personally would not recommend dps'ing in Disassembly Mode as Chain Drive does not activate nearly as frequently as if you were dps'ing in Shield Form *I have a macro to make you not generate the extra mana, also thanks to Blankminded for providing me with his macro that I changed for my main combo. I will post this later.)

Note about the suspected bug on Clone Conversion: The skill isn't put into a 7.5s CD. It is still put into a 6s CD. However, the skill on the action bar doesn't change from red until the 7.5s mark. So, it is possible to recast Shield Form while the action bar shows it as having no CD left.

Note about Rune Pulse and Shock Strike: Both have a x10 multiplier to aggro when in Shield Form. However, Rune Pulse is your bread and butter for single target aggro. Not only does it get a x10 multiplier, it also gets a x2 boost to its damage due to being a casted skill whereas Shock Strike gets an AOE reduction to damage
