Intensification on Warrior/Mage

I saw a couple vids of endgame W/M's in EU recently, and I noticed they were using intensification during burns. I always thought it doesn't do anything for warrior/mage, am I missing something o.o

Intensification increases your mdam, so it should increase the damage done for w/m w/ whatever magic damage multiplier w/m skills have.

just test on some mobs or players, damage with and without.

I hadn't seen any difference in dmg when I tested it, so was curious.

@ycavan It doesn't increase magical damage, as the skill suggests. It is actually supposed to increase your final damage output by 4k.

Either they don't know it's garbage or they just have the buff space to pop it...

Also a 3,996,000 hit doesn't look at cool as a 4,000,000 hit ya'know :P

If you have the buff space for it, may as well use it, since it's free damage. For all you know that could be the missing 1% dmg on boss that saved you from wiping! That being said, it would be the first buff of choice to be removed by me if i started overbuffing on w/m(but shouldnt be an issue unless you have every possible buffer in your group(including outside instance buffers too).

I just did a test this morning w/ my m/k using T-Storm @ lvl 57 & Intensification @ 97 ( 4465 mdmg ).

w/o: 132k dmg to tiles
with: 154k dmg to tiles

so there's about a 20k dmg increase, so about 16.7% dmg increase.

I see, ty :)

The effect from intensification seems to be magnified on lower level mobs. I did a test on mage on CoT - tstorms were hitting for 30k more (10% increase) with intensification. I then went to kashylan to hit the immortal harpy using electric bolt, and it was only hitting for 7k more on avg with intensification, which is only around 3.5% increase. It doesn't seem to scale well with increasing damage. Hitting the same harpies on W/M, with 1m hits the difference was not noticable at all.

Does the bonus damage from intensification go through crit formula (I'd assume it would). you have to compare noncrits for a difference closer to tooltip.
my r/p can outdps r/m. your name is stupid.

mages should stack dex. word.
