I am stuck on this boss.I am a lvl 16 Champion and he just destroys me so fast.Is there a trick to beating him?

As Inferiority suggested, get some friends to help. Or, pick up your second class at the trainers in the starting area, go to Logar/Pioneers Village, and level the second class up there. Do some or all of the quests in the Howling Mountains zone, then go to Varanas, open the Snoop there so you can get back to the starting area, and go pound on ol' Darkie. (You can't actually kill him, in my experience, but you can beat on him until he's no longer attackable. Run past him and click on the statue of the Princess to complete the quest. The exit from the instance is a short distance away.) The questline continues for a bit, and then you're pretty much done with the starting area, with the exception of picking up your level 15 elite skills, or picking up Shield Form at level 16, if you're playing a Champion.
If' you're a Champion, you must have Shield Form *before* you can get your level 15 elite skills. That's some catch there, that Catch-22!
You can get your level 20-50 elites in Heffner Camp.
I wandered into this instance myself. Got up to him and just stopped.
Is there another way to exit the zone without doing this instance? I know we can transport to logar but was just wondering.
