Kill Hydra

I can't seem to find the quest "Kill Hydra." Its a quest in Coast of Opportunity. I've checked behind the rock with the 2 guys behind it yet they will not give me the quest. I have done all other quests in CoO. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I believe it starts at the elven camp outside the desert observation post. One of the elven leaders gives you a quest called "Breakout" I think, involves protecting a wagon as it moves down the road. Completing that one gives you another quest to report to the leader of the camp at Fangors new camp (I think). Who gives you a series of quests that end with kill the hydra (Part of that series is talking to those two guys hiding behind that log).

Yeah I remember doing the wagon quest that leads u into the mercenary and so on...but I don't remember doing any quests for the 2 guys behind the rocks. I've finished every quest on my map and so no quests are showing up even when I click on "Hide Low Level Quest."

The two guys(ben shiller) behind the rocks have a quest Light Hands and Feet, that requires sneaking in using a stealth device and walking near the hydra. Then is Inform the Captain by using the radio(looks like a shell) over by the log with 2 nagas. After this the kill hydra quest appears at the third npc, wesley dakirton.

If you have not done those quest or they are not available, there is a quest further back in the chain that is not done.

It's worth doing every quest in each zone at least once, so make sure to have done all the dailies too.
I can't be certain if this applies to Coast of Opportunity right now, but there are quests in other zones that appear after you do a certain daily.

I presume you've used the Quest Search feature of World Search? (press backspace)

Yeah, I have not done those 2 quests you mentioned. The last quest I've done in the quest chain is "Take Out the Trash." There doesn't seem to be any quests given to me after that quest.

Yeah, I used that feature already. I've also used the addon that filters out Daily Quests from the world search. I don't think you would have to do Daily quests in that zone to proceed(need confirmation on this). The only zone I've seen that requires you to do some dailies to proceed with quests is in Tergothen Bay.

PS: Does doing dailies/public events/event quests/festival quests at least once count towards the number of quests done in the server ranking menu.

true, the take out the trash quest is listed as the only one in the chain before kill hydra, but, wesley is not supposed to spawn next to the two guys behind the rock until you did their quest. Once wesley spawns there, he gives the kill hydra quest.

Since you have done breakout, I would recommend going to makeshift fangers camp and talk to everyone there; try the memory core in particular.

Also try the stealthed guy naibi kelongde at 46.3,31.4 if you have not done the capture the ice witches quest.

But since it seems that wesley is already next to the two guys by the rocks, it may be bugged for you.

as for the ps, the answer is yes.

Er, no - it isn't the only one.

For example, go speak with Karl Denmore in Land of Malevolence and try to Capture One Alive for him and see what happens.

I'm not going to post others here cos that spoils the fun of finding them all. :p

Dailies & Public quests all count toward the quest ranking, but only for the first time you do them. This will also stop them from showing up in World Search's Available Quest list.

It would seem I have confused "Take Out the Trash" quest with an earlier quest. I have just checked out a comment mentioned on Runesdatabase which is the chunk of the quest chain: http://www.runesdatabase.com/quest/42384…lation#comments

and the last quest I did in the chain was actually "The best Defense is a Good Offense." Having said that, I have not done "Inform the Captain" because the quest giver NPC "Ben Shiller" does not seem to be giving me the quest. All he says is "..."

Also, Thank you Inferiority and Camagic for the reply!
