So i've been questing in thunderhoof, and i accidently chucked the armor that is required to accept this quest(npc won't give quest unless u have disquise on)...is there any way to get the item "Treated Avano Equipment" back?

edit: i can't access my support account atm due to lost password and new pw email not being sent...

There is another thread on Raid Plan bugging out anyway, so you might as well wait till they fix the quest (recently it broke and you can't turn it in)

How long until this gets fixed? It's a REALLY important quest line. Was hoping it would be fine after todays maintenance but nope.

It's ok, they are doing 2 more xp events. probably with a flash sale of daily tickets on those too!

How about they postpone xp events until they test (and fix) the whole chain themselves.

Yes, people remember autopsy. What is your point? That we should hold them to the standard of not fixing things for months? Like it is a good thing? Just because it is the status quo of breaking chain quests doesn't mean we should accept it.

I thought the point was fairly obvious, but I guess some people miss the obvious. Fixing quests takes a while.

Until they are fixed, they can be temporarily patched to autocomplete. The broken Autopsy quest was not auto-completed for many months. Then it was auto-completed. Then it was fixed properly. The broken Water temperature quest in Rorazan is still on auto-complete, still not fixed properly yet, and that quest is 6-months old.

I am talking about reality of how fixes happen, not the typical "We wants fix nao!" mentality I see from some people.

The problem, Rusty, (and I lived through all of Autopsy) is that the nature of a game like this one, where the vast majority of your leveling XP is gotten from a chained quest, a broken quest can literally drop your progress to a screeching halt- for an indefinite period.

That's particularly difficult for people to swallow during an XP event- specially since we only get one or two per YEAR now.

I understand, as do most people, that Runewaker is responsible for bugs like this, and for fixing them. The issue is, they need to implement auto-completes on broken quests like these faster. That's the least they can do, since they came up with this silly broken concept (chain quests) and silly broken quests.

An auto-complete wouldn't make a difference in this case since the NPC for turning in is non-responsive.

Broken quests are a part of life. If they are minor like no-show Sismond Watchers or Kulech Destroyers being as rare as finding a sober person during Mardi Gras, people gripe, but they don't care all that much. If it is chain quest, that is obviously higher priority.

And, yes, it is a problem and a big one; just that acting like broken quests are going to be fixed in a few days is not realistic. It never happened that I know of. Best that can be done is auto-completion, but as Inferiority said, it does not look like auto-completion is possible in case of this one.

And I like chain quests. Yes, they are more likely to cause problems if problem quest breaks the chain; but standalone quests are by and large boring and purpose-less.

I don't have a problem with the idea of chain quests, what I have a problem with is RoM's lousy implementation.

If they managed to make a less buggy product- fine and dandy. Other games have managed this.

If they managed to implement a way for the publisher to mitigate some of the bugs, like allowing them to autocomplete bugged quests upon ticketing, ok- other games have managed this.

If they put anything in place to prevent people from being stuck long term, and/or stuck permanently (one of my guildies had to reroll her toon because it could not quest past a bugged Morrock quest in Redhills)- that would be fine.

As it is, things are getting silly. Not all of us can afford to buy enough reset tickets to get to level cap from the inevitable bug stop. Runewaker really needs to own up to some of this. And GF needs to apply more boot to their bottom, if that's even possible.

Agree in principle. GF has no powers to autocomplete a quest for a person. Problem is that depending on how the quest and NPC triggering system is done, it may or may not be easy process.

Think about Morrok or Toni. There are likely a hundred of them. During the quest where you are supposed to gathering plant X, at the completion, Morrok that is having a party with Centaur babes is deactivated, and a new Morrok that is heading to Behemoth Skull is activated. Or maybe some other NPC is triggered, or maybe an item is given to you that is needed for next quest. Or maybe a "next quest in chain" is activated, or maybe it is several, or maybe non-chain quests are enabled.

Who knows how it works? There is a complex system under it and bypassing it causes problems. We see none of them from outside, but inside there is mechanism that needs to be thought out. And that takes time.
