Me, I would make warden/scout. Warden is ridiculously easy to start with - let the pets do all the fighting and you just watch. And if you feel like helping, join in.
You get tons versatility. Feel like need help tanking? Summon tanking pet. Feel like you would rather dish out more damage? Summon DPS pet. Feel like you want to snipe mobs at the distance? Summon pet that does DPS from distance (wd/s exclusive).
Charged chop is OP skill, and does a whole lot of damage should you decide to join the fight and help your pet. Spammable AOE skill helps as well when you need area coverage. Decent buffs as well.
Gearing is simple - you don't need much to quest. My WD/S alt can run fine in Chrysalia (next to last zone) with 90% quest gear. I have only one statted piece and a good weapon and that is all I need to be viable.
Sure, that won't cut it for instances, but if OP is not planning on much instance running, doesn't matter. And WD/S can be effective instance runner too, if geared, should his circumstances change. WD/S is good DPS and can be made into passable tank.
Mini-games are also a snap. Out of all my alts, WD/S is the only one that can do them all with ease.
Now, you don't get heals with this, sure, but you don't need too much healing if you don't get hurt.
-- Rustyx --- 92R / 92S / 92M on Reni (Guild KnightShift). Yes, running the new FOTM R/M, cause I am not elf enough to be WD/S.
Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.
