Runes of Magic US / AU

I have not found him, nor has anyone in my guild or small circle of friends. I've looked everywhere, including in-instance, with no results. We have assumed this quest is broken.

I'm under the impression that it is a broken quest and it's due to the additional information that can be found in the ItemPreview addon. When you search quest titles in ItemPreview you can usually find multiple pieces of information related to the quest that are really just part of the index and how the game identifies different stages of your quest progress. So when you search for "Living Person, Dead Body" it locates that quest status (for lack of a better word) in the index and comes up with this: "Ask for some information about what happened to Old Firemallet. (Maybe somebody in the camp knows where he is.)"

From the information available, we can see that the quest is part of an instance quest chain because it's labeled "Bethomia" in our quest log, we can see that it only has one stage, and we can see that it only involves talking to an NPC located within the camp. Because there is no NPC in the camp that reacts to this quest status, my logical conclusion is that it's broken. The second guess would be that it's like the Weeping Egnasia quest, which requires a specific item and specific order of quest completions in order to be done.

All that being said, my personal guess is that the broken NPC is the woman crying in the middle of the camp, who is too upset and scared to talk to you. That's not really based on any factual information...just seemed that she was a likely candidate. xD

It is an instance quest, and it was reported to be fine since the patch 6.0.1 that fixed a bunch of stuff in Bethomia.
