Best PVP classes now?

Okay, now that there have been some nerfs and a third class has been added, what is the best class combination for PVP?

as a twink, im still rocking R/S but honestly M/K has allot of new potential and it seems worth giving M/R a look.

Endgame? i would Say R/M or R/P has the most potential at this point.

I am still new to playing RoM, but I have played all kinds of MMO's before. What kind of PvP "prowess" I guess does a standard pally type have? The first character that I created was a knight/Priest on Indigo and was just wondering if I would be able to stand my ground against a rogue.

well with rouges having the boost they have from dex to there damage they have its silly not to grab scout for there dex skill.
plus the fact it give the extra equip and vamp is now % based even bleed wise.

I'm R/m and I love it.
It has nice AoE elites for getting dailes, lots of DoT, stuns, roots, etc.
R/m can easily defeat a R/s under the right conditions. If you can get the first hit or land your traps on the r/s he is fked. However, R/s has higher DPS and can kill bosses faster

pvp is ruled by the same class as have always been top pvp.

Rogue and mage

Put em together and you've got the best pvp combo in r/m tho more in the arena department. In siege rogues are pretty well on level playing grounds for various reasons.

Rogue/scouy

Rogue scout is the best pvp combo for any situation.
Has throat attack to kill mages and pirests (silences them).
Has shadow prison to kill any class combo(mainly melee as it may miss on caster).
Evasion + Substitute + blind stab so warrior and knights cant hit.

The best thing about rogue is hide. He pops out of hide when using shadow prison to stun you then kills you. I don't know why this skill is not nerfed/removed already.

This skill needs a nerf... like its not already hard enough to kill a rogue cause he is always in hide...

I wonder if anyone at runewaker has played against a rogue and been on the receiving end of this skill.

Obviously they are all Rogue/Scouts and thats why they made them more OP in chapter 4. Welcome to Rogues Of Magic

R/S isn't OP :/

neither are rogues.

we just have an advantage at getting the first hit because we can hide.

But anyway, I've seen a lot of rogues in arena switch to scouts. and they beat butt.

I'm actually thinking of going S/K for PVP

Scouts are still really, really good at PVP.

in all honestly, all of the classes are great for pvp, it just depends on what you personally like and how you play. i've seen all classes beat all other classes with several different secondaries. alot of people tend to learn towards rogues as best at pvp. those people are wrong and most havent even played one. in 1v1 is where rogues really shine. but in group vrs group it can hinder a rogue greatly since alot of skills cant be used due to combat. plus rogues dont have infinite spamable skills such as a mage with flame and fireball combo. though a rogue/scout has energy theif that can temporarily give you practically unlimited energy as long as your doing white dmg to targets for 15 secs, but your still in combat and very vulnerable

all i can tell you is play different things and find out what you like and a strategy that works and stick with it. my fav is rogue/scout. i love finding players with ebay'd gear and taking out people with 40-55k hp while im only at 20k. especially when they just stand there and die going "omg you haxorz"

to the person saying shadow prison is OP, guess again, shadow prison is so unreliable and at a massive energy cost, if it misses we are screwed. also, if a rogue is using SP as an opener coming out of hide, they better be only using it to snare someone on a mount about to run out of range, or saving a team mate. if not, thats not a very smart rogue, not only have they lost hide and are now in combat, even if it hits, the rogue loses time getting to the target, which SP only last 3 secs on players. and now they are at half energy. god forbid if it misses especially on a ranged class, the rogue will probably die

Trust me rogue kills you before you can get out of shadow prison 90% of the time. I'm also r/s and go s/k for pvp and find it annoying when 40k hp rogues use shadow prsion on me and kill me. That skill needs a cooldown at least if they are not gonna remove it. I bet you always use shadow prison too. 99% of rogues do.

Reaperx10,

Then you do not know how to play your class.

Even if a Rogue SP's you. You have the ability to do the following things:

Escape,
Vanish,
Crystal Candy.

Rogues are powerful in PVP because they have the element of surprise but so does everyone else if you include their ability to use an invis potion.

If you're not using Shadow Prison on a Scout, you're dead. Instantly.

You guys see too darn far, and still hit pretty hard. It's like a machine gun all of a sudden unloads when a Scout sees me.

Why do you go S/K for PVP if Rogues are so OP then? o_O

SP doesn't need a cooldown.. it misses most of the time. It's so unreliable in PVP that I only use it on Scouts, and that's if I can't move away from them, or have to confront them for a tower or something. I -hate- SP.

and who, as a rogue, wouldn't use a skill that might save their butt in a PVP event? lol? it's not some criminal skill, yo..

omg food in pvp is for noobs. It is clearly an over powered skill don't even try to deny that. Which other class can hide and then stun you for 5 secs straight out of hide???? And i do know how to play my class. And those things u mention (skills) have cooldown whilst shadow prison and hide do not. Rogues need nerf.

That is why, I succeed in PVP and you don't.

I use everything that is given to me to my advantage.

If you refuse to use everything at hand, then you are not a true PVP'er.

i was gonna make a long post going on about how he is wrong about food in pvp and how hide and SP isnt op but this just sums it up and shows his ignorance and it wouldnt do any good to explain it out. plus i dont want to continue the flame war he is dragging on. +1 to you mrmis

end of topic, every class is good at pvp (cept maybe wardens) its up to the player to push the class to its full potential with the right play style. the player also has to chose the right class for his/her play style, that he/she enjoys playing the most. if you dont enjoy it, you will never be able to bring it to its full potential and you most likely will not succeed with that class. after all it is a game, and if you dont enjoy it, your defeating the purpose of playing

Sadly play style and skill in this game is pretty useless Gear>everything...if your wiling to spend ridiculous amounts of money and time you can just plow trough everything and everyone by just bashing your head on your keyboard...pretty sad but this game is ftp only if you want to spend 2 years playing every night just to get one set of decent gear.
So yea any class who as +16 t12 crimson/bunker stat will be good in pvp
Awall
Scout/Knight/Priest
Debark

Druid/Mage(retired)
Fraus
Warroir/Rogue(retired)
P/M-Wd/S alts
Pwnstarz guild
Osha server

That's why the very first thing I hunt is the centaur. ;) One siege, the wd/s was hitting me for 500 dmg shots & the centaur hit me for 11k. <-- that's w/ over 100k pdef.

Kill the Centaur, kill the warden. :D
