New Change to PvP

Changes to PVP rules:
  • Players with names in white (Neutral Reputation) will no longer lose their armor when killed (previously there was a 10% chance of this happening.)

It's definitively going to change the pvp servers that for sure

It is a positive change. We should see pvp servers slowly gain in population and slowly start competing in siege.

All world pvp really needs now is something guilds can fight over.

That isn't even remotely true.

PVP did not reduce Grimdal's population or Indigo's population.

Let's not forget that Impenetrable was on a PVP-server and it was one of the top-servers through out all the US-servers.

Incidents on both servers made a very negative environment for both sides caused the loss of population.

i personally will be quitting the game and taking the thousands of dollars in zeevex i dump into a dead pvp server elseware whites being drop proof on gear and declarations of neutrality are a bad combo and is just waiting to be abused.

Lets wait a year and watch the population rise, then pick up this discussion again. It should also take around a year to see how this change affects our success in siege.

if your talking about the "incidents" i assume your refering to, i dont see how that has ANYTHING to do with pvp, other than the playerbase that chooses to inhabit those particular servers, which will now be leaving, or speading like a plague into the cute and cuddly PVE server sense there will be practically no difference between the two.


i wonder how many mobs i need to drag onto lowbies and vanish to MPK them before runewaker just removes exp debt from PvP servers. they seem to like catering to the carebears, this isnt much of a stretch.

Not sure why MPK means so my reply might be off.

I see no reason to remove debt just because players can get other monsters to kill other players that are AFK. It is the Players fault for afking. I do this all the time in PvE servers.

Now unless you can get a monster to attack the player and then u kill them and they still get debt thats a diff story.

Hard to have sympathy for a twink who didnt even drop loot because of the level rule. If they changed the loot rule to be based around HP/phy dam/magic dam than I could see you really quitting and exposing who the real care bears are.

Something had to change, this is what they choose upsetting the 2-3 twinks to revive the server is well worth it.

PvP Helped reduce it an amazing amount. Don't try to argue it, it is true.

Let's not forget that Impenetrable was on a PVP-server and it was one of the top-servers through out all the US-servers.

Your point is? Do you know how many people quit because of them? Did you know how big of a monopoly they had? Do you remember how they did PvP to stop people from progressing?

Incidents on both servers made a very negative environment for both sides caused the loss of population.

The population is the highest worry, but there are different things that lead to the population problem, PvP is one of them. The only thing I would change this is to make it so you can prevent as much gear as possible, so then Frogster still earns some money while we are all happy campers (Except for those level 30 twinks hat get off making someone quit).

Kerafrym,

Not many people quit back then because of Impen.

Hell, even when Murky was killing lots and lots of people. It kept the server entertained.

There use to be server wars on Grimdal, massive PVP-fights in full gear now, there is only teleport camping.

Impenetrable did not exactly try to slow down the progression of other guilds by enforcing people either. Yes, sometimes they would kill people who were doing ZS/DL/HoS.

The reason why Grimdal died (not sure why Indigo lacks population) was because of the duper incident that killed 50%+ of our population and the after effects of that much gold being injected into our Economy.

Srsly why in the heck they added such a thing as that? PvP servers are made to be PvP not for PvE. Whats the point being pker now when everyone will go on white reputation so they wont drop their armors? Pkers are hardly taken in any instances since they pk everyone in their servers (almost everyone) getting drops from other players were their way to make money. Im also pker so I dont see the point of putting the "no drop reputation" in game. There was good balancing already when white had only 10% drop rate. They could boost their color up to get less drop rate if they wanted. If they game is going more deeper in that 5hi'hole dunno how long im gonna keep playing. In this case it seems pkers (like me) or atleast I am now on going to camp on resspoints killing pk traders. They can blame the patch which made me(us pkers) to go on that way. Either they can call us "ninjas" but they true reason is the failedpatch. Also they can use those 99 dias costing advanced bindlifters to trade their items and throw the money to Frogster. This game was made for charity, but well oh...

1-who is wanting and crying about not to drop items at pk in PvP server?

2-We are in pvp servers cause of we love PK but There isnt any advantage of pk.. population of this server is %70 white %29red %1 blue so cannot loot anything from that %70

3-if you say you can loot from bag.. noone put his expensive item in bag just put it in arcane transmutter lol..

4-We still waiting a PvP Update..is it too hard?

I agree i think this is dumb. Why change pvp rules.. hmmm lets see some people cried cause they lost gear they spent money on and didnt prevent it. by doing this frogster is gonna lose money cause no one will waste dias on prevents anymore.

I am disgusted with this. I have spent a lot of real money on this game, on a PVP server, because of how it functions. I want to pk people and loot so that I can sell the items back to them and make gold from my time PKing. Now that 90% of all the players (white) cannot be looted at all this makes pking a fruitless occupation. I feel like all the extra time and money I have spent recently beefing up my gear, upgrading my statting so I can take on higher people and get better loot is wasted.

If this is a bug then let it be fixed and save all of us who are on the edge of just giving on on this game. If this is by design and is not resolved then many of us are going to either a) stop playing completely or b) never spend any more on diamonds because we pay to play as a PKer on a PVP server.

PVP servers are designed to have people killing each other and looting each other. People who dislike this have many many many more PVE servers to choose from where they can be safe from player induced death and loss of items. PVP is all about the latter. I hope they resolve this before I (we) feel like just quitting or staying at our current gear level and just loading up making a few kills an exiting for the rest of our ROM experience.

Speaking personally, I will not continue playing and paying on a game that PVP servers stay like this. Everything I came back to the game for was to PK and loot people. Period.

From the patch notes it seemed that white peoples gear they are wearing would be safe and I welcomed this as it would safeguard new players from losing gear and determination to play. The fact whites cannot drop anything even from bag slots is over the top and I will not play like that.

Eating grapes, complaining about the seeds and constantly getting frustrated with it is a ridiculous thing to do. Start getting seedless grapes and enjoy the experience. If I kill you and you complain you a) make yourself a target and b) clearly don't like seeds in your grapes.

well i got only one solution for this...if they dont want white players to drop, they should put back the buffs from red(damage)/blue(defense) on both pvp/pve sides bakc so people will actually go red/blue for a reason n this will increase the pvp currency
