Now not only am I lagging, but I can't even get back INTO siege. I just fade out, can't talk, and can't do anything at all. Then about 2 minutes later i crash out.

This is so fail.. we all spend how much money on this expensive as hell game and you can't even get Siege, one of the few things some people look forward to in this crap game, to work?

Fix it! Jesus.

It's not Monday night maint time yet. So obviously Seige will be laggy and jacked up at least till then.

Quoted from "Roeksha;505719"

With the upcoming maintenance we will make some larger changes (Unfortunately this requires a complete server restart and some time, so we will not do it before we have a maintenance), with the hope that this will improve the stability.

@Above, please discuss moderation in PM. I will not reply about it in this thread, since the topic will derail then.
It was in no way meant offensive and it doesn't publically denounce the Guild. It's a preventive measure to allow the existence of this thread, so I can easily pick out the details I need.

lol so right as siege is supposed to end at 8pm I just start loading in hearing the music and the sounds after rewards were given out.

Maybe there's something to the theory of it being 3 minutes early causing problems

It's funny that a 20vs20 fight is being determined by 3-5 people on each side. The odds of that fight actually determining who would win is laughable. 9 minutes in 16 out of the 19 people that my guild had on were lagged. 6 of us crashed and couldn't get back in for the most part (2 of us did at 20 minutes left). I saw 5 of their people actively moving around but by the time it was an even 5vs5 match, it didn't matter because of defenses.

Tonight, after my guild's crystal was capped because no one was able to move, the siege ended. Then I was standing out in town. 30 seconds later I got a message saying my guild's crystal was being capped. Big whoop, siege is so incredibly MUCKED up its to be expected...

Then, as I was running around in zone outside of siege I got a message... The timer for recapturing the crystal started. LONG after I was out of siege.

Siege is out of sync.

this is the new gcd havent u heard
its called the cumulative global cool down, u cast a skill, a monkey somewhere in the eu starts calculating whether all the prerequisites are met, whether u have a target or not, if its in range or not,if there is an object in the way or not and if they have a buff that will nullify it, then that monkey asks the boss monkey if its ok to allow that skill to fire, boss monkey thinks about it while chewing on a bannana for 5 mins then nods, ok, fire. 15 nmins after sige i got rewards, merits quit dumping into my bag and towers quit getting occupied. still have 173 merits in my bag. i think the start stop time has something to do with it, but not completely. i know once upon a time it ran 3 minutes later. start time, end time, signup time. i brought this up a few pages ago. maybe thats the way it was supposed to be and when yall "fixed" the clocks you broke a finely tuned machine. who knows, i know guildies are only loggin on for siege, laggy or not, i gotta keep signing up so theyll keep coming back as long as possible. please please figure this out frogster. btw, my ping was steady 100ms, fps were stable at 26. no spikes, just 15 minute response times. only thing that wasnt laged was guild chat. it was instantaneus. battleground chat, 15minutes behind, say chat, 15 minutes behind, strange.

Edit: siege signup screen is blank still, been blank since siege was over and signup isnt working. still shows no guilds listed as of 3 minutes after either on my screen. anyone else seeing same thing?

When Runewaker gets off of their break and fixes it.

Quoted

Hours (Taiwan) : Monday through Friday – 9am til 6pm (noon break 12 til 1:30pm)
That is from their website. I think their break time is a lot more than 1 and a half hours, considering SW has been in beta for 2 years.

My guild has had 2 sieges in a row now where we were easily stronger than the opponent and had a strong advantage. But then lag cripples most of our guild and the enemy keeps most of their players active. Today, we had 5 towers within 5 minutes, and by 15 minutes in we had only 2 of our 15 players able to function. Everyone elses had 5 minute delays. Our opponent, however had at least 5 people that were unaffected by lag. Too bad those 2 players that were working were not well geared.

So we went from an easy win to losing our crystal. Of course, I had to have one of the non lagging people tell when the crystal was being attacked because I was 5 minutes behind.

If you need help figuring the problem out

I am expert at figuring out performance problems via automated performance testing of both the hardware and the software. One example is an application purchased by a bank I worked for that was supposed to support 1500 users and the VP of that unit said it "felt slow" in pilot tests of 5 users. I was able to prove that the application would actually crash once up to 10 real life users.

If you can't figure it out, ask for help from people who are willing and able. Don't make a poor decision like you did with your new testing group and outsource it to a country where people don't play and can't understand English well enough to read the problems and understand what the players are complaining about.

Todays siege was a wipe, lag got progresively worse from a second or 2 at the start till at around 20 minutes in it wae 3+ minutes. Latency & fps remained normal & stable the whole time. We would have lost anyway because today only 4 hopeful guildies logged for siege.

Xanth, you have my sympathy! Yesterday we were tearing down the other sides inner gate with all towers captured when lag hit around the 20 minute mark. We were left with 1 person unlagged & it ended in a draw.

Honestly, Siege Wars have always been buggy although this has gone too far! Like so many here have mentioned it has gotten so we cannot do anything! This evenings Siege was going along fine we had all the towers and were through the challengers first gate then BAM we were all transformed into unmoveable statues. Everytime we would move a few feet we were ported back to where we started from. No skills were useable nor movement possible. Very disappointed we sat there assuming that at least we would hang in till it was over and get Siege rewards.... NOT! 10 mins till end everyone gets booted and not even a single thing to show for it!

I do enjoy the RoM world and I realize that buggs happen although, this is simply unacceptable! While I understand that certain things are harder to fix than others lets be honest... has anything in Siege Wars gotten better? I think it is time for Frogster to make a sincere attempt at correcting this after so very long. Many of the Guilds have invested much into the game both time and funds, I think we deserve better treatment than what we have been recieving to say the least.

Honestly, the developers are supposed to check this thread as they said and see all the issue we are suffering through. Well let me tell you these issues are not lil glitches here and there this is an UBER FAIL of the Siege War system! Please, make a sincere effort to fix this and not "limit the number of Guilds the Siege at one time." It is time for some serious effort on your part such as updating the servers and correcting the code.

I love new content and enjoy the game and the friends I have here greatly although, perhaps as it has been said so many times before.... You should fix the system that exists already before adding more things to it. Siege Wars is a facet of the game that is very important to many of the Guilds and I believe it should be a priority to correct it. Heck I have even seen that many of the long time players of the game are giving up and quiting because it has gotten so very bad and after so many years of being ignored they can not take it any longer. This is a sad truth that I believe should be addressed as soon as possible.

I think this is an opinion that many of us share. Well at least I hope that it is. Of course I live in hope!!!!

Can someone refresh my memory. If I remember correctly, server lag started when they messed up with siege time, correct? I would think that resolving the new problem would start with the last thing that was changed before the problem started.

Siege time and server time are still incorrect. Having a server's time few minutes off and for anyone to see, would be embarrassing to any server administrator. The fact that that it is not getting fixed tells me that there might not be server administrator in place.
