We tried siege last night, and it is even worse now than it was last week. We went from controlling all towers in the first 10-15 minutes to losing the match because we couldn't make actions. The lag is like a curse that you hope doesn't affect your side. Looks like we were on the bad end of the lag-stick last night. I can't blame our opponents for capitalizing on it though.
That said, Siege just isn't worth the effort anymore, so I am gonna give it a rest until it gets better - if it gets better. I asked for a status update on what was being done to address the issue an I have not gotten an answer in this forum from those who have a duty to support the customer and address the customer's concerns. This is disappointing to many of us who play and enjoy this came as well as support the company through purchases.
Believe it or not, Siege is a big attraction for me, so I don't know what the impact will be for some of us, especially those of us that have level capped. Some of us may lose interest, especially if we feel we are not being supported and the software stays broken at this level. SAdly, some of my guild members have rage-quit, stopped playing as much or have gone to other games due to the siege issues. I would like to think a fix would be done before guilds and groups erode further.
Obviously Siege War, which is a grand version of Capture the Flag, is not much fun when you can't compete effectively due to lag. That just kills the entire attractiveness of the siege module.
I think I would be encouraged if we received a transparent update on what the problem is and what efforts are being taken to fix things. Is that asking too much?
