Anecdotal observation: It appeared to be those on the West Coast who got the lag, while those on the East Coast did not.

Wrong - I live on the East Coast and it was the worse SW Lag i've ever experienced - I was doing fine until I got Herald and couldn't even get outside a gate half the time and when I was out all I did was rubberband and die because of 2-5 min lag delay. Looking back on it now I find it hilarious watching the other team member pounding on me and me unable to get a single skill off.

And I live on the south coast and it was absolutely a hoot. Entire Guild was laughing toward end of SW. I left the castle 28 times and never got out, always ended back inside.:D

H'mmm...I'm not west coast, but I am on the Western Canadian Prairies....My ping dropped 20ms (to sub-100ms pings for the first time, ever), but my ISP routes a lot of traffic eastward towards Toronto instead of west (through Vancouver), which might possibly explain the minimally better ping time.

As for the latency/lag: I didn't experience it in siege last night at all. This would perhaps explain how I was able to kill some scouts or rogues for the first time ever, though. :)

It would be nice to know if the 36 person max is the new max number for each side. We had people who could not get in last night. With all the lag though 50 on 50 would have been worse but that is not the point. The point is we set up so 40-50 can get in and it is not fair to our members if Frog changes the rules with out us knowing. So, to the powers that be, was this a bug??

Yes please, please Froggy- we need to know. Our guild usually has between 40-50 people in per night, and last night was fairly rage-inducing for the ones who couldn't get in. If they had been able to get in they'd have raged a lot less, since almost no one could do anything anyway, and I realize it would make sense if there are bandwidth concerns to lower the max-people cap, but we need to have some notice so we can deal. How long are the servers going to be in this makeshift status? And are there any clues at all on a timeline? And can we expect a cap of 36 for the duration?

Siege lag Set back 2 years...

OK, so is everyone having fun with the server since 2 days ago? LOL. Tonight's daring adventure found me hearing in vent by the ONE PERSON who wasn't lagging that our procs were being attacked. I went over, saw our gate up, procs fine, and nobody inside... And nobody even outside. A second later on vent I hear both procs are destroyed. And whalla.. the gate disappears. (still no people visible)

Lag is so bad as to be totally unplayable in siege. Last two nights (since they moved the data servers) has been this way. All I think we can do is beg them to give us the OLD LAGGY GAME BACK where we just had a few seconds of lag instead of lag so bad that we can't do a thing.

So Please give us the old cruddy version and remove this old horrible version. Thanks. Either that or stop replacing your fiber t1/t3 cables on your servers with copper cat10/coax when you do "upgrades to the system." Coax is NOT an upgrade!!!

Nice going Frogster , second night in a row lagging out for 30 seconds, nice work. But true still in BETA. Get some real programmers or remove your Siege war because it's just stupid. Exit the freaking game and then get to Siege and got sent to loggin again??

You CM'S are great but the programmers really need to get fired and NOW!!!!

I was happy to get you GM's and CM's that really do your best, but this is just plain stupid

Laughing? I do not think so. I do not have a lot of time in any day to spend playing and to waste a frigging hour in a mess like this is more than a little annoying. And now the weekend will be like it since they were incapable of fixing anything from Thursday to Monday. No wonder the BBB has such a low rating of this company...and why that ranking continues to get worse.

Why should we buy diamonds for a game that does not work??????????????????????????????????????

53

Saturday, January 21st 2012, 4:52am

Getting tired of not being able to do anything in sw once 20 minutes go by. Only reason most of the end gamers still play a lot is so they can be op in sw. Take sw away and basically everyone will leave.

Again I raise the question of who are your server administrators (if there is even more than 1 with all of your consolidations going on) and I really hope they aren't paid anywhere near what a real one is worth.

55

Buy diamonds? Not likely!

I was considering dropping some money on diamonds this weekend, with the 120% sale and decent enough runes available in the cash shop. However, the worst RoM experience I have ever had in Siege Wars soon remedied that thought.

Frogster, I don't care if you just moved servers. I don't want to hear any excuses. You should have tested the crap out of the new servers prior to making the switch. You should have pushed their limits to the max in your testing, straining them the same way a full siege roster with every guild having the max 50 players would. Because you have to assume they will get that much stress or could possibly be under that much stress. But there is no way you tested those siege servers. Any argument otherwise is a complete and utter falsehood.

So, I encourage everyone to let their wallets do the talking and let Frogster know that this issue needs fixed right now.

i must say two nights in siege having random people having the issue and the fact that some guilds seem to get affected and others not just makes you wonder what 12 year old they got making decisions.

I had lots of fun during tonight's siege against Warwagon. For the first time, I could walk up to an army of them and just chill out with em', and they won't kill me.

They're just like running around and completely ignorming me for 5 mins.

Great job with the new servers!!!

Seriously did you downgrade to a 486dx? Did you spend the money you've been getting lately on you're new game? What the heck is going on? Lag in regular pve is worse and siege is atrocious. What gives?

Buy diamonds? No chance!

Ping was normal but around 5 minutes lag in siege.

We had several players come back today to give RoM a 2nd chance. Somehow I doubt they were impressed...

Our guild has decided that we will not register for siege until we hear that siege is no longer broken.

Guild siege is highlight of the day. I surely hope this gets fixed soon.

This is a fantastic game when it isn't broken. :(

So if the lag issues of the last couple of days seem to get fixed, please post here to let us know.

Thank you
