Siege, Valentine's Day

Everyone in our guild that was on was able to get into Siege today, that number was down from what it should have been because of past problems with Siege bugs. No one from opponent guild from Palenque showed up (prolly same reason) so we won in a few minutes.

What you're suggesting is equivalent to people who work for marketing at Boeing start hammering away at the planes themselves. It just wouldn't work...

I worked at Boeing on 747s and some of the people in marketing would have worked as well or better on the assembly line than some of the machinists on the line.

Yes looks like they figured out what was wrong. Be nice if a Quality Assurance guy gets on and explains what it was to us then Unstickies this monstrosity of a thread where all things "evil" to the forum mods get dropped.
I for one feel ashamed looking at this thread and knowing a dozen different subjects got thrown away in here all in the name of one word they had in common "Siege".....

I'm not going to go back to find the OP who mentioned that the Festival of Fire event borked siege last year as well, but it is more than coincidental that siege is back to normal since that event is no longer.
QA might want to check into this, it might have some merit.

It is also strangely coincidental that the server clock has been corrected & siege now works..

We will coordinate with our Developers to find out what the cause was.

The server clock has been set back and forth numerous time in order to check if it fixes the issue. This *should* not have anything to do.

It's still great news to hear that Siege War functions again, we will continue to monitor it for the upcoming few days, to see if it remains in the state it currently is.

+1000 to the person who pointed out that we had the same issues with seige last year when they implemented the Fire Festival. Strange how seige was also "fixed" last year after they ended the Fire Festival early.....

Well I won't quite say thank you for fixing sw because I too believe it was most likely something to do with the fire festival that simply corrected itself when the event was changed. But I will say I no longer have any complaints and am happy to be able to enjoy RoM again. So sort of thanks Dev's! :)

really? it never once changed from the 3 minutes early it has been for the past month, so whoever changed didn't do it in the right place. it's very strange, though, that once the fire festival disappeared not only was siege working, but it magically started at 7 PM PST on the dot. :/

Please fix sw!

I dont know if there is a thread already posting this. (I checked) Feel free to vent and qq with me on this. I also do not know if this happens on any other servers, so if your not on reni, please state if this works or not.

Siege war has been broken for Reni as i know. I am a 55/30 r/s on reni with the guild elite. We wanted to do siege war and so registerd, but then as it was time to siege, we hit the enter battle button and nothing happend. After that almost everyone on our guild crashed. Some could save themselves and logged off, but i kept trying to get in. After about 15 crashes and over 50 tries to get in, i decided that siege is not going to happen. There were cries on world chat about the broken siege war! The people of reni want to have their fun back, frogster! I speak for allmost all of reni when i say this: FIX SIEGE WAR! WE ARE ANGRY OF THIS NOT WORKING!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Me and my guild are still experiencing delays in siege Wars tonight, 20 minutes after it started.
It seems like they only fixed the issue that causes players to be unable to enter siege.

Ahhh back to craptacular siege! I missed having unplayable delay! Now it feels like home again... On the plus side I guess I'll have more time to do Tempest again... so that's something.

Siege is NOT fixed. It's just back to where it was before we couldn't login to siege. 2+ min lags after about 25 min into siege.

Thanks for the updates! Add our craptastic siege to the pile of poolag building up tonight! Great fix! Back to our daily You Tube replays!

Confirmed.... we had one day apparently of it working, or majority of battles won before the 20 minute mark, but tonight there was a 1-3 second lag from about 10 minutes in, at 20 minutes 30 seconds, 25 minutes it was up to 5 minutes.

Betting that the slower buildup of lag due to lack of usual participants, I know we had less in attendance tonight for siege than usual, betting not as many guilds were still signed up, or entered.

.

Slightly better.

Only had 3 of out 11 lagging badly like before. Others had slight intermittent lag.

2 of my guildies had massive rubber banding lag, I guess 2 out of 9 is an improvement.
