I've tried siege a few times since it was brought back from the dead. It seems to be working pretty well, but it seems like controls freeze a bit when in heavy combat. It feels more sluggish and a little less responsive then it was. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this.

36 max players does not fit well with the seige reward system. You know, the first 15 are combat, the next 15 are defense, third 15 are logistics, and the fourth 15 are...umm...I forget, support?. seems like seige was originally intended for 60 players a team.

I think that by doing that you will have more guild that should be able to get in at 36 Max players. I think that we have never faced a guild with more than 19 players on in 2 years and us 20 player.

I think the limit is right even more if we have no lag in siege. Keep up the great work guys, win or lose, i'm here to have fun. Unless people forget that this is a game ;-)

Re: "never faced a guild with more than 19 players..."

That depends on where your guild is in the seige levels. Our guild - Evil Empires, has placed 50 in seige several times. However with the seige problems we've dropped off considerably but are back to the 30 range now. I fully expect to start having challenges when the 37th guildie wants to get into seige and can't.

I'd like to see it put back to 50 so all of my team can enjoy it again (and get back to beating Noto - who have owned our butts for the past few months).

See you in seige Fandraith!

My guild, Exileddaemonnoobs has 40+ who would siege on a regular basis. Its kinda rare when we have less then 30.

savage, (god please don't) you need neto back x.x

that boy is insanity in a scout. not that you guys aren't badass yourselves, but it's consensus from last night, that he makes us cry. many tears.

but seriously, the number in siege should go back up. it's a lot like that dia fiasco they had. they gave the people something, and then flat took it away =/

that or 45 to actually fill out all three 15 slot categories.

To get siege back up we would probably have to have the tech team FA had. They thought outside the box and even with 50 in on both teams siege ran smoothly most of the time. A tech that cannot think outside the box means siege is not all it can be.

I'll start off by saying that RoM is probably the best mmo I've ever played and I've played quite a few. But, I'm tired of waiting and many of you should be as well. They've had how long to fix Siege and the on-going lag issues? And the best part of the game is still in beta, wtf!!

You gotta love how Frogster says "oh we need you guys to report to us about Siege so we know what the problems are". That has got to be one of the lamest things I've heard in a long time. Since when did we (your paying customers) become your guinea pigs? Why not have your own test server so you can properly test the crap before you release it?? Apparently something like this happened in DDO when they moved servers and within two months they had to move to newer servers becuase the lag issue wouldn't resolve itself. Hmmm, ever consider that Frogster??

I will keep my character in the hopes that some day Frogster will get it right, but the way things are going I doubt it! I'm now playing LOTRO, which I don't like as much, but at least I get 130 fps instead of 20 fps with RoM!!

agreed 100 %.siege is a little more laggy when encountering more than 1 enemy,at least for me anyways.

it's not lame. it makes perfect sense. if you go to a doctor and say, "I'm sick!" and he says, "what specifically is ailing you?" you don't go, "you should know already with your voodoo powers and perform a miracle to fix me!"

Against PPK last night lagged the heck out w/e more then one of them was around. I only got in the last 15 minutes of siege so not sure how the first 3/4th's went.

I have also seen some weird delay as well BUT seriously can we please remove pets from siege? I have a targeting macro that will allow me to not target them, but Jesus, most people run around with 2-3 pets out and it lags the hell outta me. So you limit siege to 36 for I am guessing load/lag reasons, but most people run with multiple pets out. Must have been about 40-50 pets out last night against PPK. Its just become ridiculous.

Wanna make seige a better experience? Get rid of pets plz.

Last night I noticed significant lag as well, especially when there were pets around. This is causing siege to be almost unplayable as it crashes me out (3 times last night). Can anything be done to address these types of issues?

Thanks.

I feel bad for the folks who are still trying to enjoy what siege was supposed to be. However, two and half years in Beta while showing no signs of visible improvement is as good as stating to the playerbase that the project has been abandoned.

Runewaker either cannot or will not attempt to improve the core coding. I won't be wasting what little time I have to play on a project they aren't going to fix or devote much time to.

Lag, it started around the halfway mark. I lagged 35-45 seconds & some guildies complained about lagging 1 minute or more.

The lag did go away every now & then but returned a few seconds later. I could see no reason for the lag coming & going but during the 2nd half of siege I was lagged 80% of the time.

Fps & ping remained constant the whole time.

Last night I crashed out of siege 15 times. The night before, 6-7 times. And several times since the "fix". I haven't been lagging, but can't stay in the game. This used to happen often before I installed slim client. That seemed to take care of the issue for several months--now it's back.

this could be a return of the old warden crash bug.

There could be something in this theory.

2 crashes in last 2 sieges, both times I crashed with a frozen screen showing warden pets charging at me. Coincidence? Who knows?

Btw, these 2 crashes are the 1st siege crashes I've had in many months.

.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but seige stuff has been happening at 15 sec before the hour. Since the fix it was happening at 15 to 30 sec after the hour.

well, good siege heretic. except for the people falling behind by a minute like before they fixed it. loved standing there, trying to heal people, and failing. also, you have a warden we'd like to talk to about being immune, could ya contact one of us? P:

so. we know last week, it was mostly working, and today, there was fall behind lag. also, for most of the day that i played, i was getting some mega ping spikes just plain doing things in game. more input for you froggy.
