@LadyMcV- I would ask for that, that they just take the siege server down and recode, except for one thing: people would freakin' ragequit the game and Runewaker would take a year to recode.
They need to lock down the server issues, because they are obviously not just a side effect of bad software. There is evidence of badly managed hardware, and that should be fixable.
@Fandreith:
People already are rage quitting over Siege being borked as all hell. I would far rather wait a few months for Runewaker to code the thing correctly than have them try the quick fixes they always do, just to have the same issues happen again further down the road.
Reducing the number of guilds that can siege will alleviate a little strain on the server, but if the errors are due to the coding not working correctly or the hardware/software having gone bad... it won't fix anything, and will simply serve to lock more guilds out of siege.
Take it down. Examine the hardware, software, and coding for malfunctioning parts and/or redundancies. I believe that the community, at this point, is willing to do just about anything to get Siege working again- because as of right now, a lot of people can no longer participate. It isn't a quick fix, and it isn't something that should take only a month or two to complete.
