It's always fun to see mages and rogues battle it out as to where both are glass cannons unless you're a r/k or have a healer.

It's silly but they have about 10 pfactories and we managed to take em all down within 3-5mins

Anyways I love facing the 5-7k guilds it's a challenge. And they usually* don't call eachother hackers. which is even better. As for pewpew heretic and exileddemonhord, prolly some of the better guilds to seige against, tho as of right now, we'd get rofl stomped b/c we lost alot of our rogues when seige went bad. now we are jsut a silly guild full of mages.

/pats ebilone on the back, there there, yes you have the biggest epeen on rom. are you satisfied? feel like big man now since life has been handing you nothing but failure? its ok, go kill some noob, youll feel better. there there.

but seriously, what has happened to you ebil, you seem to have lost your way.

I dunno, the last time we fought whatever guild Ebil was in at the time (I forget which one it was and the last patch ate my War Record- it was a while ago)... it was made of lol. Ebil himself is a pretty decent rogue, but the other rogues in that guild were some of the sorriest rogues I've have personally ever seen.

Me (p/s and mage geared so squishy as hell): wanders around defenseless.
Terrible Rogue that was Not Ebil: Shadowprison > [Fandreith]
Me: Candy. Ice Blade > [Terriblerogue].
Them: Dead.

Now, that happens a lot in sieges, and any time I walk around outside our own defenses I keep my mouse on the candy button, because rogues seem to love wasting half their energy on a stun, so it's not proof of some idiocy specific to those rogues in that guild. However- the idiocy part was when one rogue in particular did it to me 8 times in a row. He very politely waited two minutes between tries too, so candy was off CD 7 out of the 8 times he tried. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting... well, anyway, I was pounding my computer desk I was laughing so hard.

To make things even better, that siege also featured rogues that wandered around a lot out of Hide. Like, they forgot they were rogues or something.

Me: sees rogue. Kites rogue with IB (well, "kite" makes it sound like I needed to hit them more than twice).
Them: dead from dumb.

Now, like I said, Ebil himself was much better. I dunno if he was mercing with some guild of pure nubness or what, but I got more kills against rogues in that siege than ever before or since. Gahhhh I wish War Record hadn't poofed on me.

Anyway, in Ebil's defense, and this is @whoever on Palenque they seiged last night, we never saw exploits or weirdness from any guild he was in, and anyone can place a FoT inside a tree- you can walk through them and stand inside. Now, you can do it by accident too, if you just stand too close to the tree. Doing in on purpose might be considered an exploit, but it has happened to me by accident, which is how I figured out it could be done.

Oh, and a hint to guilds that face Ebil (or his ilk) in the future: plop a mage on your walls above the gates ASAP and have them Thunderstorm the area in front of the gates. You can even get a lowbee or barely geared mage to do this, all you want is for them to pop the rogues. Once you get your defenses rolled out and all, you can replace them with a Flame Tower- does the same thing. You can even have just one mage do this if you're low on mages- they just patrol inside and watch the gates for damage, run up the stairs and T-storm. When the rogue switches to a different gate the mage just follows them.

Drives them crazy, and gives your scouts time to suicide and rogue-hunt. As a bonus, they can watch the gate's health the whole time, so you don't get any nasty surprises. This is why rogue doesn't need a Hide nerf btw, there are plenty of anti-rogue strategies you can use to take care of them, if you just work together.

Oh and I agree Gigi, siegeing in the 4-10k bracket is a lot more fun. We had Evil Empires last night, and Corruption a few nights ago (I think) and they were both lovely clean sieges that were challenging and sheer glorious fun. However...

Was I even there. Because, and you know this, I honesty haven't sieged with Heretic much. First my desktop went kapoop, so Id use my laptop that gave out after 30 min, and then the server move.

Not once do I remember sieging Ebil. And the sieges that I DID go to, we either tied or won. (not because of me, just what happened to happen).

So when he says he wiped the floor with us...I lol

Yep this is a while back... Prehaps even before Rag broke up. I don't remember any recent sieges with Ebilone at all.

This was back when dawntreaders broke up I was in Oblivion, which has also broken up, half went to demonlord the other to legionnaires. Artemis is funny like that. You get high points as a guild, people start dropping out of the game at level cap and the guild disbands. Thus is RoM, glad I'm important enough for you all to talk about.

I think I will crown myself king of RoM, I trancend servers after all! Thank you my loyal subjects.

Wooow now that was a reaallllll long time ago. Dawntreaders broke around 7 months ago. That was about when Heretic was just formed and probably consisted of 3~5 end gamers tops. Both Raves' old guild and my old guild had not broken up yet. So technically you haven't roflstomped us

Thats why, my long winded friend, that most decent rogues don't really use shadow prison that much. I generally only use it against scouts since they can see my arz in hide or if I I am running with a group. Much rather use sneak attack against cloth wearers. Those noob rogues who hit you with shadow prison from a far range are......... well noob rogues!

There is such a big difference between 1k and 4k guild going to the 6k+ wars. Thier first time is always full of cries of HAX! Hmmm...well lets see: 10k + Pdmg from daggers? Must be hax....15k from axes? HAX! Mages hitting me for 200k flames? must be HAX! funny as a rogue scout myself i have more Mdef and Pdef than alot of the ppl we see in siege. 80k of each when buffed and add in escape/vanish/hide yes I will 1-2 shot you lol.

Lol, Shoot- that happened to us tonight. We were up against a 3k guild and some poor mage was hollering "HACKS MOAR FOR THE CAMERA DUM-DUM'S" at us, and I still have no idea what he was on about.

We knocked the gate down and took the crystal in pretty standard fashion, so I don't know what he thought we were doing- getting healed too much? Using candies? Fearless? Rogues that can go invisible maybe? Maybe we were hacking by having the entire Mongol Horde in tonight- I honestly have no idea.

Anyway, they'll get the picture eventually. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when the GM gets that vid in a ticket...

"Oh look, they're attacking a gate. Oh look, they have fearless. Oh look, they're using herald tornado. Oh look, the keep gate's down. Oh look, that person candied. Aaaaaand... there goes the crystal. Oh look, I'll never get those ten minutes of my life back."

A fly on the wall that has quite the imagination and story telling Paz was trying to say u guys had 116 active members the other day mann he exagerates so much xD But i like the term "Mongol Horde" Are you Kubla Kahn or Genghis? Jeebus Gigilopants, we have almost 200 people and I cleaned the inactives out last month... we prolly do have that many real actives. We had 36 in in the first 2 minutes and 4 more that tried to get in and couldn't. I dunno how many more would have come if the cap was still 50 .

And Genghis. Rex is Genghis. I'm his smexy sidekick. I can't cope with the idea of having that much facial hair.
