just my humble opinion, but the fact that this is advertised as a f2p game, is the entire reason anyone uses hacks of any kind. why? because its free to download a simple program. and for people skilled in coding its customizable. if this game wasnt so pay to win, there would be fewer instances of people using hacks or exploits to get the upper hand in siege, and in game. just my two cents.

OK, that doesn't explain why *that giant MMO MrT likes* has umptymillionbillion cheats, hacks and exploits. Or why every pc and console game has a cheat/hack guide/program thingy. It's the nature of nerds and script kiddies to try and hack stuff. Mostly cause it's fun. Like taking a piece of machinery apart and putting it back together. Human nature.

Now, the bad guys use those cheat/hacks/exploits to do bad bad bad things. Not all of them do, I am sure, but the net effect is bad, no question. And the free-to-play aspect makes it appealing to things like the goldseller sweatshops, but they do it in games like *that giant MMO MrT likes* too somehow, and manage to make a good living.

But it isn't something RoM has worse than any other MMO, or not much worse anyway. It's the nature of video games, and the nature of humans in general.

And I would also argue that people aren't using it nearly as often as they used to in siege. It's been a long time since I've seen a real hacker in siege. Support really truly has been weeding out the bad apples.

Not sure if exploit but....

Notice something missing? The tower banner is gone. The guild from Osha that we faced didnt even bother capping it while they had "control" of it. Very curious. Not 100% sure if the same thing happened on the other side.

Well I feel it important to comment here...as it was my guild you are referring to.
First thing is we farmed the guards and did not take the towers...thus robbing you of merits. Nothing wrong or shady about that. Perhaps you were lagging and the banners were not loaded yet? No idea...and just an FYI we don't take mercs or tolerate cheats or botters in any form, as MANY here will tell you.

That happened to us once too Raves, not against a guild from Osha, and it looked like a bug to me like the disappearing hammers on busted gates, or the sideways gates (which I have heard rumored can be done on purpose, but the few times it happened to our gates I am positive were accidental, cause it didn't happen again in any siege with them- also not Osha guilds- before or since).

What's the difference between a bug and an exploit? An exploit is a bug that people have figured out how to recreate and use on purpose.

We've sieged the Osha guild in question umptybillion times and have never seen an exploit from them, so I think you could safely rule this a bug.

Or.... it could be a conspiracy. I think Pwntnlb's (god bless I hope that spelling is close!) Chiron ate them! Overgrown goats'll eat anything ;)

Good to know. Did this happen when you guys had control as well? Or was it just that one instance? It definitely wasn't lag because othere members could not see it either.

I want to compliment you guys on your overall siege tactic. Im not sure if any of my guild saw, but I had a chance to take a look at/get chased around your castle, very well fortified, very nice job. I figured out exactly what you Guys were doing, but due to our low numbers, couldn't counter it (we were missing our warden, a few scouts and a few rogues, basically half our tosh dps). Nevertheless, good siege, and we'll be sure to have our best next time.

This bug happens constantly, its a failure of when the tower gets capped it fails to create the banners after destroying everything.

Long and short of siege...its completely unfair. Go with that mind set and you'll have a good time ;). I could say siege needs to be reworked, but even saying that makes me laugh. I think it would be great to see all the defenses bumped to accommodate the current level each time it changes, but I seriously doubt that is even on the current list of todo's. I think siege was only implemented to derail our qq'ng so we would qq at each other rather than Froggster. That's just my own opinion

Out of the hundreds of towers I have capped...not once has this "bug" ever happened nor have I seen it happen when another guildie caps a tower.

Out of the hundreds of towers I've capped, I've only seen this bug twice... and havent seen it for nearly a year now.

It is a bug, be it a very rare bug.
