PvP and Siege what the heck rogues

PLEASE decrease rogues and scout phy atk give tanks and healers a chance!
People try so hard on tanks and healers but they still die

D/S/W here :D I have (pretty much) all clean t6 OD (for the most part) endgame statted gear. I can hit 200k hp blahblahblah pdef this and that stam wis healing 230498029381 on myself. In the end, I can survive at most 5 seconds usually against anyone remotely close to even with me in gear, INCLUDING MANY TANKS. 5 seconds because I have a buff that SOMETIMES works that lasts 5 seconds, -99% damage. I swear to god that buff is broken in siege anyways. I mouth off in vent during siege about gimp p/s that hit me for WAY less than the rest of my guild in siege, like WOW he hit you for 100k? he barely crit me for 40 yadayadayada. The point is, damage is completely, and UTTERLY broken in pvp, both on pvp servers when flagged up, and during siege with pve. Once you pass about 1k points in siege, its a fair GUARANTEE that if you aren't a DISGUSTING MONSTER OF A P/K or TANK with like 300k+ pdef all the time, or a well-skilled dps, you will be VERY restricted in pvp of any form. This essentially makes a lot of fighting really sucky and pointless for the MAJORITY of players.

Now, the more skilled of us will argue that there are ways to deal with these types of things. Candies, buffs of all kinds, just being blatantly skilled, patient, etc. To them I say grats, and what about the rest of us? If I go fully buffed up against a decent rogue geared a THIRD as well as me, chances are I'll probably die. If I dont, they are probably a "noob." I was REALLY looking forward to the damage reduction in siege, and idk if they are still planning on implementing it or not, but I do think that it is completely unfair that if I were to transfer my gear to a p/k I'd be practically invincible for the most part with respect to the level of intensity we usually face in siege war.

I dont like riding out and dying so quickly. But I'm used to it and there are a lot of great battles. I think ANY healer will agree that some of the most frustrating but fun, heart-quickening battles theyve had were against other healers or tanks where you can actually utilize real skill as a player, and not who can get off the first 1 shot. I almost NEVER get 1 shot in siege. I cant remember the last time it was. But when I can get silenced for 5-10 seconds, knocked down multiple times.... why do I even heal at all? Might as well come in raging with my lvl 50 dps skills and 10k matk. That would be more productive. I sincerely and truly hope something is done about this, because it would make the game much more fun for many players, especially on pvp servers where there isnt much to do BUT siege.

To that I respond, YOU SIR, drastically underestimate the amount of things I have to occupy myself with on Monday nights at 11pm during server maint. However I do see your point. People have been saying this about pvp for months. Years even. Why bring it up, or even hope it will get fixed at this point, as not much players seem to ask for, gets done anything like the way they ask. Lol. Oh man. I better shut up before I start raging.

The OP had been playing for less than a month when this topic came out aka making this topic fairly invalid ie: they weren't fully geared etc etc., but you don't need 300k pdef all the time, you need about 200k generally even 100k+ is good enough vs most players, and that is probably achievable on D/W with Defensive Formation (with a shield).

But as for stuns I agree that they are sort of stupid at this point due to the nature of siege (especially shadow prison I still want that skill nerfed), same with immunes since it's all about who gets the first hit really.

Ya my only real issue with Rogues is that they can stun me for like 10+ seconds.. if they couldn't stun me that long they wouldn't be OP at all. But when you're getting sneak attack, shadowprison, throat attack, it's just a stupid long time. It will make more sense when(if) we get the more damage reduction, because you'll need those stuns. But with PvP being the 1 shot fest that it is, having stuns be so long is weird.

And don't even get me started on when there's a mage. -_- Silence is the longest effing stun ever.

Idk turtle, the only class I really worry about using shadow prison on are scouts. But alas, I am a fail rogue.

Knight have a purpose in SW. They are good at stunning healers and drawing the attention of dmg dealers, bait!

IN all seriousness every class has their nemesis.. rogues is scouts all day.. from ppk down there there isnt a rogue out there that im worried about as s/k :) .. i love em personally.. very squishy themselves :)..
Point being... knights have uses, wardens have uses, warriors have uses, etc etc etc. The game is actually getting pretty balanced people.. each class has people they can kill easily and some they cant kill really at all.. but thats where teamwork comes into play, thats why you siege as a guild... to work together.

if u spend 13k honor points and a couple thousand gold on the lvl 50 arena gloves, put them on a macro, and u have ur own anti-shadowprison skill... >.>

I think a rogue without shadow prism would make them a little less OP. So I agree take away shadowprism, I mean mages have stuns because you can see them, if a rogue didn't have hide, let them keep shadowprism.

Didn't say take away shadowprison.. just that stuns and silences in general last way too long. Not just rogue, Silence is really long as well. Like I said, it'll be alot better once we get the 90% reduction.. if we ever do.

how i kill a priest:

sneak attack (3 second stun)
low blow
wound
throat attack (3 second silence)
low blow
shot
vamp

That's 6 seconds. I need all six to kill most priests. Some I cant even kill in that time. :s

Everyone else is just sneak attack lowblow. i dont need the full 6 seconds.

haha you guys keep bringing up that this is an old post xD yet there are now like 5x as many people talking about it. guess i was just bored so it wasnt really a perfect response to the post, just my two cents about what i got the gist of the issue to be. anyways, 100k pdef is doable on my d/s with pet and a hero pot its close. but you cant seriously expect me to go d/w with a shield just so i can play druid in siege. thats still assuming 100k pdef is enough.... which i most definitely think isnt enough. 200k is more like it, but ive seiged with 100-150k mdef and still get slammed by mages or even the very very occasional beastly p/s. I ran around fully buffed last siege with the 200hp and idk HOW much mdef, probably >= tank status, and then got hit with a 190k flame. hardest hit ive ever survived xD but that scenario is generally repeatable and common in every siege. this is in a 2.5k point guild.... im not really saying SIEGE NEEDS TO CHANGE CUZ THIS SUCKS AND IS UNBEARABLE. I hold my own a lot. the point is, siege would be a lot more fun and bearable with a massive damage reduction. it would FORCE people to actually work together strategically, instead of one guild with 3 AWESOME dps able to three-man 20+ people at a tower. too many times have i sieged against, say, a couple rogues scouts p/s whos only strat is hey you kill everything, and ill kill everything. back in the low point days i specifically remember the tank going in first because they could survive, and healing long battles where it took more than literally 1-2 seconds to kill people xD

its not gonna happen, im just dreaming in this thread. lol

Look scouts are gone, not everyone guild can get a scout, I hate it when people say, JUST GET A SCOUT.
eye's, sure they work, but in the beginning you can't put them everywhere.

This is what happens whenever i go up to a p/x from you guys.

Candy > ice blade x4 > HA > ice blade x5

So you are saying that the game is broken because your guild is unbalanced in its players?

No, the game will not change because of your fallacious logic, and inability to get players. The best guilds we face have a large varity of players. They take the time to pick up third classes as they need, and slowly gearing them up for siege. A lot of our tosh running and geared players have second and thrid classes just for siege. They gear up castle or bunker level and come in to siege as their primary secondary or tertiary class depending on what we have that day. If YOU cant afford to do that, that is understandable, but not grounds to nerf people.

It is, but you can candy while you are shadow prisoned. So once you have been shadow prisoned you can candy and survive long enough to kill the rogue who shadow prisoned you.
