I think I prefer a rogue using shadowprison. It as least gives me 2-3 seconds to pop immunes and have a chance to fight. It sucks the most when they don't shadowprison you, and just sneak up, low blow 120k, and go back hide again. Gives you no chance to fight whatsoever.

What I don't understand is why Serenstum (6 second immune food) Is so readily available and easy to get, while the 6 second physical immune is next to impossible to ever get. Unfair -_-

Nothing will block a shadow prison, you can only break from it.

What I meant was they will see someone coming and candy (and if a rogue manages somehow to get a shadow prison to land on a priest, you can candy while being shadow prison'ed, which IMO is a bug, but not sure it was always like that) (like any P/s) and then charge at you and use ice blade, so we'll serenstum, then they'll back off and holy aura after candy wears off.

You mean immune, singular, if not on cd. We can't use holy aura while stunned. Also compare a 4 sec immune to like 6 seconds+ of stuns you can do

always a way out of everything.

Its a 9 second immune vs a 4 second always possibly (unless ha'd) silence and a chance to hit with a 5 second sp. 9 vs 9. even with SP you can get out of it. SP doesn't have a CD, but use it more than once and we're out of energy and the amount of time stunned is like 2 seconds the 2nd time. then youre immuned a 3rd time

Well, none of the (good) rogues that I go against start out with shadow prison, so that wasn't even included in the stuns I was talking about

well i hope to god you don't mean numbing dagger. That heals people who have the buff. It's just a cc. If i want to kill you, I won't be using that because once you get damaged, you become un-cc'd.

lol, not numbing dagger, unless you just want to annoy someone for a while. Like a p/m who wants to freeze lock someone.

I was thinking more along the lines of sneak attack and r/s throat attack that applies a silence. Shadow Prison usually leaves too much time to react, which is why I don't see many rogues using it, aside from helping the other dps kill someone by rooting/locking the target

I am fairly certain you can candy through any stun or silence.

Once the stun wears off, pop other immune spells.

The point is, you can kill with stuns, or if you react fast enough, you can survive it with candy. It all depends.

Edit: you cant candy if you are numbing dagger-ed.

We sneak attack, you candy. stun is 3 secs, candy is 4. you have one second to spare. we pop seren at that one extra second and you HA. Equal.

using candys is great. swell. i have a few problems with that tho. they last 4-6 seconds. WOW. so you mean i can have fun in seige for 4-6 seconds during each 1 on 1 fight? im obviously exaggerating a bit. the point is we as players in a war shouldnt have to rely on immunes to fight. this isnt about what we can do to make temporary quick and irritating fix, at least not for me. candy has looooong cool downs. I would love to be able to see actual fights. seige is so friggin laggy anyways! if i use candys people just start screaming hacker at almost any level of siege points. half the time i hear people on both sides complaining about candy not doing anything... in the end the candy thing can be helpful, but i would really prefer not to rely on something like that :/

Thats not a problem due to rogue class mechanics, its a problem due to the actual pvp and game mechanics as a whole.

This should be the answer for the whole thread.

I understand players have their complaints about certain classes in siege. As things are right now, PvP is not especially fair. But I don't look at a particular class and say it's because of the class that the unfairness exists. It's because of the PvP mechanics. The whole system revolves around 1-hit KO's. Until something is done to change that, no one is ever going to be completely satisfied. Making changes to class skills based on PvP is really not the route to go (and how many players actually get involved in PvP for more than an hour if they're not on a PvP server?)...
