Sea washed stones

Hey sitting here bored at work and I was just wondering if sea washed stones have a great effect on stopping magic casters and what the actual radius of it can be, we all have gotten accustomed to planting eyes all over the battle field to knock rogues outta hide but I rarely see these placed all over. My only thoughts on this is because it has a range of 100 and casters can just shoot them before they get affected or they just don't work.

little tip. we hide these in invisibility towers along with an eye of true knowlede, a couple faces. so if they run past it, no matter what class combo or type they are, their advantage is diminished. I have seen people in various guilds who are able to target and destroy objects from a distance even though they are hidden in an invibility tower. but it seems to be an effective strategy to us and have seen other guilds using the same technique.

I don't think sea wash stones do much, unless you have an invisi over it. I've seen many sea wash stones in SW, but they have never silenced me. I just go in, T-Storm them, and they are destroyed before they can do anything lol.

Yup I know about the whole invis tower thing over the sea washed stone defiantly helps but like ruisine said it does not really affect him does other casters have this same affect? Or ever been affected by them?

I've never noticed sea washed stones really doing anything noticeable, but i dunno maybe that is just me.

But if what you say is true, then I guess sea washed stones acting defiantly would explain their reluctance to work as intended =)

maybe they need an upgrade? as i have noticed, as well have all the mages in my guild, that with the influx of t6 and up gear, most times silence is resisted, misses, what have you. wich wouldnt matter much except we arent at the same level as most pve guilds, let alone tiering armor past 6, on the average, so i imagine thats why our silences miss so much. maybe silence is bugged overall? dunno, dont play mage anymore. but that could be the problem with sea washed stones.

Hmm interesting so would a suggestion to say to rom to have sea wash act like an eye except for a stun of 5 secs a silence of 5? With the same radius as an eye of true knowledge?

Btw not a qq thread just wondering what everyone's thoughts on this?

Great idea! Yeah as a rogue being stunned for 5 sec is a death sentence and my priest never gets silenced. Make them lv 100 or something...all traps should work as intended not just eyes and sometimes FoTs.

I'm rarely bothered by seawashed stones because most skills I use in siege are instant but they do interupt the cast bar when putting down fots, eyes & towers so they can help when trying to counter a guild that mass rushes with a few ppl dropping towers.

Garry not too sure what your class is but got a plus 1 from another rogue I would like to hear back from some more spell casters If this is a fair idea or should we just leave it as is?

Dreaded horrible evil terrible very bad priest/scout here- I agree, I dunno why these even exist. They never seem to do anything. They should silence me. Or maybe do something else, since I guess the idea of giving them an idiotically small 100 range was to make electricity towers more desirable since they cost so many more resources. Electrical towers do silence, all the darned time.

Maybe make them put all skills on cooldown for three seconds or so, like Throat Attack? That would inconvenience everyone. Heck, they could even make them put everyone's skills on CD for a second or two- that would prevent those annoying ranged people from taking out FoT's mid-flop.

At any rate, they need to do something.

Not a bad idea at all having to put all skills on a cool down for 5 secs but would they be able to program something like that? For me I would just use the same programming they use at the mini game in the steppes there but who knows, also this item is supposed to stop casters but then again no towet stops heavy hitters like scouts warriors or wardens (sorry knights :p) so I kinda agree with ya Murphy

Yeah, it's a fair enough idea but then if the effect was changed from a cast interupt to a silence I have doubt that they would work in the way they do now, in other words, not interupting the laying down of defenses.

I think the way they work now is of more use than a simple caster silence but an interupt to all skills might be worthwhile.
