They have stated that treaches aren't a cheat in any way. I also feel that there is nothing wrong with them since there are so many ways to counter treaches. I personally dislike the destroying of the throne from the outside and using tornado through the walls to destroy a proc but they have been deemed dirty but legal. I just say play siege war the way you want to play just dont hold it against your opponents for using tricks that you deem dirty but are legal.

So when a warden/scout and see me from range hiding inside an invis tower, run straight at me on their mount, get off that same mount, kill me (still inside the invis tower) then remount all without ever stopping. I'm sorry THAT IS a hack. I know there are zero skills that allow anyone to mount up while they are moving. If any class could do it, it would be the mage/warlock combo with their soul stepping ability. I've tried it and no it does not work. So you can say people call hacks for glitches/bugs/whatever you want to call it, but there are and will continue to be people who use 3rd party programs to win at siege at any cost.

There is actually a mount you can cast and ride while you are moving. Its an insta cast. So no, thats not a hack.

As for the rest, honestly, a number of things could have happened for that player to know you were there. The most blatant one if you entering it, and him seeing you disappear from afar. Honestly can't say a person is hacking or not unless you got vid of it. Otherwise its just another "he haxed!" story.

Yes please tell me which rune disk it is that allows you to do that. I'd certainly buy one once I know which one of the many options of rune disk this is.

So when I am standing at my middle tower invis'd and have that person near their bridge targeted and can see them target me WHILE I'M INSIDE the invis tower doesn't fit your scenario. They ride across their bridge, stop, target me, run straight at me and kill me. There is no way that is legit, so please just stop trying to justify it. Having a vid proves they hacked? Hmm, I'd much rather take the word of my friends who are spread among different guilds all reporting the same player, doing the same things and multiple nights.

I find it extremely funny how so many people are always on the forums trying to convince everyone else that hacking/exploiting doesn't happen, yet there are numerous videos out there of people dropping out of the sky inside someones castle, attacking through walls with skills that others can't use through a wall. The hacking/exploiting is far more common than the fanbois would lead people to believe. My own opinion, those who are so convinced that there is very very little of it going on are just diluted.

I never said use trechs on a gate was a hack, I said it was a shady tactic players have used that some players deem a hack/exploit. I've done it myself against other guilds because I believe there is nothing wrong with doing it, it's a game mechanic working the way it's supposed to. What I do consider a hack/exploit is like someone said above, using tornado to kill the throne/buildings from outside the castle. Show me one person who legitimately believe it's intended to be able to kill buildings through a wall that you can't walk through. Anyone who believes that is just trying to justify using any tactic to win, no matter what others think.

Video= evidence. Others can see what actually happened and postulate from there.

He said/she said isn't enough to deem someone a hacker/cheater. If your computer is good enough, there is video recording software that records free. The one I use records 10 minutes - for free, each file. More than enough to catch them. 1 hit of the keyboard button and its recording.

Sure, people cheat in siege. But honestly, theres a couple reasons why I dont take everything someone says seriously.
1. When you say "cheaters are everywhere in sw!", doesnt fit with my experience, so im less inclined to believe you.
2. People call hacks for things they dont understand. Or dont like. Last night we fought EE from Osha. I had one of their members kamikaze to me just to say "You hackers are sad, using trechs to take down a gate". herp derp. it aint a hack.
3. People exaggerate.
4. If you dont provide evidence, or refuse to just because "support sux!", then wheres the evidence?

Cant go making judges based on hearsay. Porting around - not a hack. Trechs on gates -not a hack. 20 second immunes - not a hack. Being invisible on/off while moving, and not a rogue - not a hack. Bypassing enemy defenses, flames, trechs, eyes (in hide or not) - not a hack.

Also, always play with ctrl+x on when you record.

And I aint no fanboi. I hate pink hats. Find a better insult towards someone who disagrees or is skeptical of your boy crying wolf.

Ravensden I fully agree with you and I'll remind my guild that FOTs aren't illegal. GMs have spoken on this and we know that its a regular tactic now. But EE does look down on using FOTs on gates. We hold our guys back from doing it until the other side does it to us first. We prefer the traditional manner to take down a gate.

So while we don't like it we know its not a hack (or whomever ran up to you will know as well). EE also does not condone shooting through walls (to take out procs or throne rooms). The only time we may have done so in the past was when it was done to us first.

We know that siege is very buggy which creates the illusion that many people are hacking. Creates a lot of QQ and we get our fair share from other guilds too. Usually happens when we are beating up another guild and they get frustrated. Being in the 3000-4000 pt seige bracket one day we are the PewPew and the next we get PewPew'd LOL.

Traditional way to take down a gate?

Wasnt the tradition to have a rogue hit it 2-3 times and watch it burn? And before that wasnt the tradition to pull tower guard aggro over to a gate so they'd attack it? And before that tradition wasnt the tradition to bring forward the battering rams to take it down?

Now the tradition is to have 3 rogues buy "intelligence" scrolls and watch a gate go from 100% to 0% in about 2 seconds.

My point is traditions change.

Yeah, "traditional" way to take down a gate: Tornado + Meteor Scroll x2 or 3. Prior to the level cap being raised above 62-65, siege engines. But now, the usual OP DPS players take siege engines out in 1-3 hits, so they're worthless for taking down gates.

Since DoTs no longer work on gates, the Arrow scrolls are worthless to take down gates. And Rogues continue to QQ that their epeens have been blunted. Poor, poor, Rogues. My heart bleeds chunky peanut butter for them.

I don't much like having our gates taken down by a stack of 8-10 FoTs. It's not illegal or a hack, in any way, shape, or form. But IMO it falls under the heading of "dirty tricks" and, also IMO, it shows a lack of class by the player/guild using the tactic. You are how you play.

But it *is* a tactic that currently exists in the game, and there are defenses against it.

'Nuff said.

Exactly. Play smart & fots on a gate are nothing more than a distraction.
