Ia am very confused by the lack of understanding here. Retread my first post and basically all subsequent posts. Gms are not giving heretic or any othe guild special food, nor are they buying them in the ah. 3 years ago there was a massive influx of egg rice within a bundle of Is runes, people bought thousands of egg rice. They are not bound so can be given away, so if someone has 5k they can utilize them for the whole guild multiple times over without really denting their stash.


And what makes you think they al use egg rice? T7 statted proof/kbnh gear is uber op right now and may seem like gm buff food.


tl:dr if they have tons of egg rice it's from years ago not gm handouts

Eh, we on AU got maybe 1 or 2 rice and perhaps a wine every say...6 months? Personally never seen more than 2 in any one stack (and we had active gm's-go figure..)

I hope the OP realises there are people who have chests full of Egg Rice Dumplings and GM foods.

I think I have several stacks on Hot Stew in my bank. (I have like 4 stacks of Egg Rice left, since I gave my other 20 stacks ot our tank)

Steve is a Reni institution. The things she says are... well, imagine Gigi on his off days, then give him large quantity of alcohol, then multiply the effect by 5. Steve really can't be described, she must be experienced. :p

On topic. Good illustration of what Dio was talking about the other day. When sales or giveaways become too generous, it is impossible to keep up the streak or keep topping the deals without getting into unsustainable sales patterns. Contrary to what some Rom Mages believe, demand does not increase with increased supply, or at least not very much. So, we end up with excessively generous sales/giveaways, then realization that it is unsustainable and then clampdowns. The roller coaster of too-high, too-low cycles hurts economy and player satisfaction, as opposed to steady predictable cycle.

i have never seen aged realgar wine on my server ,this is an item that would sell for an ungodly amount of gold.

No ones gotten egg rice in months.

Reason I know the amount - is because I know the people who have them. You have to understand Reni's economy, and who controls it. I have been in a vent where 2 billion gold was traded in exchange for Zeevex (before the ban)...like it was nothing. Normal. I've seen 1 single person buy out ALL the relatively cheap, statted gear in our server's Auction House, putting them back up at a higher price, and those items selling, for their profit. I've seen an end game toon geared up with the latest, statted gear in a span of 24 hours.

There is money, and resources out there on Reni. Especially from veteran players who have been here for years. I remember 1 ex-guildmate being worried that diamonds were capped at 99,999 (they're not, you can go over).

Now, as for egg rice. Its out there. That will not change. Not anytime soon. Theres enough to supply people for the next 5+ years if needed. Reason why our prices are cheaper, is because more people have them. Why? I can't be 100% positive, but I do know there are long time players on this server who have been around for that 2 year anniversary sale, who have been to those mythical GM handouts (contrary to popular belief, the 1 visit from GM president was the only time Reni ever got anything extra from GMs.), who have stacks upon stacks stashed away in their banks, alts, guild tabs, etc.

Why is the story not the same on Artemis? Different servers have different pricings due to the availability of gold. You can't match 1 server's pricing to another and say "this is cheaper!". You have to compare player population/wealth, diamond pricing and sellers, availability of gear and the people running to get it (end gamers). For all you know, that egg rice being sold could have been bought out by 1 wealthy player months, maybe years ago, and is now reselling and controlling your market. But I bet you anything veteran players from the top-end guilds have stashes of their own egg rice they reserve for personal use.

I say make egg rice more available rather than restricting it to the point where handing them out becomes extinct. There is thousands out there, they're not going away. From what i hear from a person who used to be a good friend, there is a toon out there, currently retired, with 50k egg rice on alts. If they ever come back, all that will be dumped on the AH, and more Egg Rice for the general population. If you restrict egg rice, only those veteran players who have been here will have them, new players will be at a HUGE disadvantage, and you'll get more threads like these.

Make them available. Oh, look. Christmas is around the corner.

I would suggest putting them in the item shop permantly. Problem solved everyone is happy.(well almost everyone)

I have a stash of egg rice and im a noobody. Speaking of which i would love to see noobody's rum go back to the way it was only with the drunken effect too . yeah.

Well, heres the deal. Heretic, right now, has the best collective group of geared people on Reni. Don't believe me? Come to Reni, check the patk listing. Don't argue "herp derp those could be buffed". We cover almost all of top 20 ranked. Most of us, myself included, are long time players. Some of us (myself discluded), are VERY rich, and can afford to pop egg rice whenever we want. Very few of us have stacks upon stacks of egg rice. I still got a couple stacks...

Up until reading your rant here I respected you guys. You were a fun fight. But I'm gonna be blunt and honest. I have stopped using egg rice against you guys. Why? We far outgear you. Its not the egg rice, its your own gear. Tonight, we had maybe 19 online, some in alts. 12 in KBN Hard for the first 20 minutes of siege. IIRC we had maybe 8 people (2 or 3 alts) tops for the first 20 minutes, and we held you guys pretty damn well. Actually, Sadakko and I pretty much duo'd your guild a couple times over. But, since you all had more people and our side was scarce, you got in and took all but 1 factory, which we had invis'd (you were actually pretty close to it at one point, and you turned around since you saw no proc - it was invis'd).

Thats really all we needed to win. Our guys in KBN HM came out and joined siege and we pretty much took full control, just like the past sieges over a span of a couple weeks. I nado'd your right gate and we got inside, capped all towers then fell back to mids to defend.

Don't blame the egg rice. I used 1 out of the entire siege. Didnt even use a big angel's sigh or a phoenix. Sorry, but we just outmatch you guys. The only real fight we have is PPK atm, and we need everyone online and onboard for a good show. I apologize for us getting matched with you guys, but the better geared guild won tonight, and every past couple nights.

And every one of our members using egg rice is a complete lie btw. Some of our dps, and a couple heals, when we have them, don't use them. But if we got 200k+ hp players (or 300k hp like myself), yeah, we'll pop egg rice. It makes the other buffs we use worth using.

I always count siege vs higher ranked guilds a win because they waste more potions, food, whatever in siege than me. It is something called carthiginan victory

it's a little annoying their entire reason for limiting egg rice was for balance reasons but all that caused was to the people who stocked tonnes have them and nobody else does. If balance is what matters it's in the worst possible state right now.

Also they said it's for balance but they would think about selling them in the IS.. um.. what?

It's obviously not for balancing if they're willing to sell them in the item shop lol.
