Jump into the castle.. hack, exploit, good tactic?

Our guild, Oldbutnotdead on Osha, tonight had the most blatant example of use of a so-called speed jump to launch a toon from the back hills into our castle. [guild name redacted] sent two or more rogues in via this "tactic" and took out all of our processing plants and forge without having to damage either of our three gates at all. Personally, we consider this an exploit at best and as good as a hack and that it is a cheap and by no means honorable way to conduct siege. We still won the siege but that is beside the point.

I have yet to find an official thread with regard to the outlook of RoM administrators where this tactic is concerned, but I am continuing to look. I am interested in how the RoM community at large feels.

I grant you that the speed macro used is a legitimate use of common in-game abilities and the macro feature, but taking advantage of the terrain in the rear of the castle and exploiting a flaw in the wall design of the upgraded castle walls is an out and out cheat. Those who feel they have to resort to such a tactic have no business participating in the siege competition. It is said that "all is fair in love and war..." but in RoM siege this practice should be banned along with those who use it.

What do you think....?

This is a recognized exploit and is not allowed.

Having said that, the only possible resolution is that you have the actual exploit captured in a video that you can post to YouTube or another media sharing website, and then provide the link to the video in a complaint ticket sent to our Support.

Otherwise, I have edited your message to remove the name of the alleged offending guild and will be closing this thread.
